They seem to grow them a bit different down there in Texas ... or at least that is what these romance books have lead me to believe. I think I will go down there on my next vacation and try to find me-self one of those Hardy Cates or any one of those Travis boys if a Cates isn't available....I digress...

This book was good enough. I have no complaints. Sure there was very little depth but it is apart of the Harlequin Blaze series so that is to be expected. There was a little less Texan-ness than

I read an excerpt of this online about a year ago and kept searching for it until I finally found a copy a few months ago. It was worth the wait. The by-play between the characters was humorous and hot. It was a fun read where the girl who had been doing the chasing all her life got a chance to turn the tables and be chased a little. Kimberly Raye did a great job showing a wide range of thoughts and self-understanding about the hero as he faces the change in the relationship dynamic between hims ...more

Story Starved :(
This was my first harlequin novel, I read it for book club. What I expected was cheesy dialogue, a sub-par plot and for the author to use words like "quivering member" as well as metaphors to describe the physical situtaions that the characters experienced.
Well, I was right about the dialogue and the plot, but suprised at how descriptive the sex parts were. This was literary porn to the fullest! I have to say I could not put the book down and read it in two days.

3.5 stars -- really enjoyed some of the glimpses into the friendship between Rance and Deanie from childhood (a la jawbreakers), but otherwise didn't end up feeling too close to the characters. So good sexy fun, but just not quite enough depth to the romance...close, but something was missing.
This was a fairly good book. Not as action packed as others i have read, but still readable. It wasn't one that kept me dying to know how it ended. Was slow in some parts and for a romance book, its not what i am use to.
klau tks
a perfect and funny story . loved and i'll reading again
Raye writes hot, steamy, smile-so-hard-your-face-hurts romance. The fact that she sets her stories in Texas and puts her guys in a cowboy hat is a bonus. Definite fav author.
These Texan brothers Raye writes about are way fun and delish. I love me some cowboys and hot sex...just what this book has!

I've always been an incurable romantic. While I enjoy reading all types of fiction, my favorites, the books that touch my soul, are romance novels. From sexy to thrilling, sweet to humorous, I like them all. But what I really love is writing romance--the hotter the better!

I started my first novel back in high school and have been writing ever since. To date, I've published over thirty novels, one
