The story the Fisherman and His Wife was written by, John Warren and Margot Thomas. The story began with the fisherman going down to the river to catch some fish, and he pulls up a Golden fish. The fish asked to be let go back into the sea. The fisherman let the fish go back into the sea. The fisherman went to tell his wife what had happen; she got mad that he let the fish go because she knew it was magical. The wife sent the fishermen to ask the fish for her wishes. This story is important to me because of Clarissa Pinkola Estés; she tells it in her work. I probably wouldn't have noticed it before.
