I enjoyed this Harlequin romance. When cowboy Gage Moore comes to Jess Cummings ranch, he finds more than work to help him forget his guilt over the death of his sister. I enjoyed the interplay between the children, Ashley and Lexie, and both Gage and their mom Jess. The kids came across as very real. Lexie's pain at the loss of her daddy and rage at everyone else was poignant.

After college, Laura Marie Altom did a brief stint as an interior designer before becoming a stay-at- home mom to boy/girl twins. Always an avid romance reader, when she found herself replotting the afternoon soaps, she knew it was time to try her hand at writing.
