The poetry in this book can be described as experimental, political, environmental, and ethical. Some of the poems worked better for me than others. It is a book that I will need to reread, since I tend to read poetry way too quickly, knowing that I will reread the book immediately after I have read it the first time, and then I will pick it off my bookshelf at random times. Iijima is "wildly experimental" in style.
