Not impressed. The initial political concepts addressed are interesting, and the book drops off from there. The book presents a very narrow point of view with opinions trying to parade as facts by using fancy words and footnotes, insulting the reader's intelligence. We all know that support for any point of view on any subject can be footnoted; this is not an indicator of a scholarly text. A whole chapter on the importance of hair salons? That whole chapter is more like a Tyler Perry movie than ...more
