The pictures in this book looked like they were drawn in crayon and are pretty simple drawings. It talks about arthur which is a character that i grew up watching back in the day. He and his sister D.W. make a bet that she can teach her baby sister how to read and she thinks she has done it. She has a trick up her sleeve though that she hopes Arthur does not know otherwise she will have to change a stinky diaper. this is a simple but fun story for kids to read. about a first grade reading level

Arthur's Reading Trick was a great book! I really enjoyed this book because of the story line and its emphasis on reading. I think children would like it because the story line is exciting and fun to read. The brother and sister bet on if D.W. (the middle child) could teach the youngest sibling to read. The little game against each other adds challenging thought to the book!

Arthur's Reading Trick is a great book for young readers. It's funny and it touches on the topic of word association! Arthur and his sister make a bet that they can teach their baby sister to read by using objects. But their baby sister knew the words to the objects, so she wasn't really reading. This is a cute and light-hearted book about reading and I think that young readers would really enjoy it.
