A brilliant take on Kollywood, this novel deserves a movie version. The good news for the one who wants to make a movie out of this novel is that not much editing is needed in the novel except for replacing mammoth and immovable telephones with mobiles . Deeply ground in the realities of 80s yet ahead of it's times- that's Sujatha for you !
"Kanavu Thozhirchalai" , the book which is worth the quote "Must Read". A fictional story on the basement of non fictional incidents happened during 70s to 80s Tamil Cinema. The sequence in each chapters are happened/happening/will happen in cinema industry forever. Sujatha done a tons of research before writing this book. This book speaks about incidents happening in cine world. Sujatha doesnt speak much about the famous actors and speaks about actors who generally are not protagonist. This book enhanced knowledge on how censor board functions, what happens behind screens unlike what we see on screens. Good read..
