This book is written for the true train aficionado. Not falling into that category, some of the terminology was over my head but, the writing style was lyrical and poetic. The author paints pictures that are at times clear and crisp as if one is viewing the scene in real time and at other times are tinted with the appropriate level of sepia tone that time and nostalgia require.
