Egyptian history is explored in a very readable fashion. From Cheops to Rameses the Second we learn about the life and times of one of the world's oldest civilizations. A fantastic non-fiction read for young readers interested in mummies and ancient Egypt. Enough pictures to be interesting, but not enough to make this a picture book.

highly recommended for 6th grade on up if you're interested in or studying Ancient History.

I love Ancient Egypt and this definitely reminded me that I do. Egypt and her cycles are plain to see in this book! sm

Informative and seems well written. Landmarks books are worth reading I have found so far in my limited life.

This appears to be a very good, middle-school-level book on Egypt. I did not read the whole thing, but the first few chapters were very enlightening, and Ian was interested enough to read chunks of it just for pleasure.
