Erotic Horizon
Ryan is thinking long and hard about professor Tom Shafer, the college professor he has had the longest time getting over – if he has to be honest. As fate would have it, while in this sort of reflective mode he gets an invite to a function at his alma mater and none other than Tom Shafer is the guest speaker.

Not willing to look a gift horse in the mouth Ryan takes up the offer and before the end of the night in question Tom and Ryan had cleared a few hurdles and are putting one foot in front of...more

The series by Claire Thompson about a group of single men who are reconsidering their life to understand if they have found and lost their only chance at love is becoming better book after book. After the story of the two college sweetheart who meet again 20 years later to realize that they are still in love like they were so many years ago, it’s now the time of the classical May / December relationship, the crush of a student for his college professor.

Ryan was 20 years old and madly in love fo...more

My problem with this one (I love the first book very much) is that I feel no tension, no real hurt for two people who used to have had history. I feel like they're getting back together too quick and that just doesn't work pretty well for me.
Intriguing story, but it didn't last as long as I wanted it to

- Decent amount of suspense/danger in this story, whereas the others focus only on the relationship itself.
- Ryan has changed a lot in the 14 years since Tom last saw him, and not really for the better: whereas Ryan used to be passionate and idealistic and innocent, he’s now jaded and cynical. Tom can still see the younger Ryan, though, and Tom’s...more
This one I liked, but didn't stand up to the first one. It didn't feel like Tom really missed or thought of Ryan as much as the characters in the first book did. He (tom) said some of the right words, but didn't come across.
The first bk had 2 characters you felt that they still had deep feelings buried but there somewhere. This one felt more one sided.
Still an enjoyable read, just not same as first in the series.
These m/m romances are decent reads and remind me quite a bit of a Carol Lynne series. The Solitary Knights of Pelham Bay are a group of extremely cynical guys who'd given up on love and get together to bitch and moan about fools who believe in love. Then the bartender issues them a challenge...

I enjoyed watching the reunion between Ryan and Tom. Of course, things didn't go without some problems, but I was happy to see they were able to find the solutions.
