Not as long as the original, but not as many laughs either. I'm a big Milligan fan, but this is unremitting tedium. What might have been funny as a 2 page parody, is wearisome as a 180 page book. Not going to seek out his version of the New Testament.
This is a book that I pick up every few years when I want a serious laugh. even after all the times I have read it can still make my eyes water before I howl and roll around on the ground. testament to an immortal comedy genius
I thought this was going to be amazing, but after the first couple of pages the comedy diminished, and I felt it was very patchy.
“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, and the earth brought forth grass and the Rastafarians smoked it.”
An excellent read, using many of Spike's turns of phrase. A must for any Goon fan.
It gave me a good giggle!
Great book, just love his sense of humor.

I laughed all the way through this book and then started over and read it again.
Brit humour which unfortunately quickly becomes repetitive.
