The New Mayo Clinic Cookbook has been a great resource over the last several years for my husband and me, as we have tried to eat real, home-cooked meals rather than the high-fat, sodium-laden foods we used to rely on for nearly every meal. There are some great recipes if you have time to devote to them, but it is not the best choice for a busy family that needs to make dinner quickly and on a budget.

This is a book for the coffee table, not the kitchen. It has BEAUTIFUL photos, but each photo is a full page with the recipe on the facing page. As a result, there are not nearly as many recipes as one would expect of a book its size. I don't fault the recipes themselves, but I don't think there is enough there to justify the space in my kitchen.
My sister bought this for my dad after he was diagnosed with cancer, but the whole family loves the recipes and after trying a few at my mom's house, I liked them so much I went out and bought it too!
I love this!
I wish they gave more menus, but it's simple and beautifully illustrated and lots of great health info.

Beautiful pictures and delicious recipes. This is an expensive hardback cookbook, but the "new food pyramid" information and recipes are all excellent. A definite keeper.
A lot of very different food... Nothing that really appealed to me but it was a lot of salads. I haven't actually tried anything in it yet, so I can't say that I know I don't like it.
This is one of my all-time favourite, most frequently used cookboox.
