This starts out with two strangers meeting and it had all the makings for a hot beginning but then the bachelor Caleb who dressed up as Don Juan gets all gallant and refuses to take Meggie any further because he wants to get to know her. Not knowing who she is and looking to settle down he's not on the same playing field that she is on. I know that is all ideal and the way Meggie should want it, but she was the aggressive one and Caleb was the one holding back. Right away I thought oh no another ...more
interesting but predictable
Okay, I stumbled upon these Alaskan men and they are just too fun and scrumptious to pass up! I think this might be my favorite because the hero is the strong, silent type and there is such an element of fantasy and role playing in this one. They are all good and super cute and will keep you warm on a chilly rainy/snowy night!

Recommends it for: people looking for a quick romantic fix.
For what it is, which is trashy escapism romance, its fun and has some unique flavors to it. The whole masquerade element is fun as is the dancing. Very fun to read over the phone to someone either for giggles or a romantic spark. Or both.
ok, the whole harlequin thing is not my type of books, but stumble upon a bargain and decided to give them a try. this one was actually very fun to read, very spicy, and it was just giggle material.

Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write.

She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later dis
