This book is about a girl named Kat who is a medium, meaning that she can see, hear and talk to ghosts. In this book she and her friend Jac on a school trip to Montreal and on the bus she sees ghosts. This is a good late 3rd or 4th grade fantasy book for girls. Kat has inherited her mother's ability to talk with ghosts and in this book, she encounters several on a class field trip from New York to Montreal. It doesn't help that her mom is a chaperone, as is her best friend's mom--and the two moms don't get along. Kat is also dealing with the popular group, some girls of which think her mom is very strange and take it out on Kat. And if that weren't enough, Kat has a crush on a boy on the

at Roberts is back again for another ghostly mystery and adventure. In Suddenly Supernatural: Crossing Over, Kate, Jac and some of her classmates are going to Montreal, Canada for a French class field trip. Along the way Kat and Ben (her new-found crush) pick up some invisible friends- ghosts. Another enjoyable installment of the Suddenly Supernatural series. This time Kat has to deal with spirits who don't want to be helped, obnoxious spirits, and a cute boy who just might like her too. I'm really enjoying reading about Kat's escapades as a young girl who can see ghosts. She has problems no normal person would ever have, yet they are easily relatable. I'm looking forward to another one.

A very quick, fun read, just like the rest of the series - middle school girl concerns with a supernatural twist. The setting was great - now I want to visit Montreal myself!

this series is totally just "ghost whisperer" for kids. and yet, for some bizarre reason, i'm fond of it, just as i'm bizarrely fond of "ghost whisperer" (or was, until they did that dumb jump-through-time thing and i stopped watching it). that being said, this was so not the best book in the series. not by a long shot.
