The Dead Is series was filled with fun, short reads that I enjoyed. There are a lot of paranormal aspects, and not very many people have to hide who, or what they are.

This is such a cute little series. I've really enjoyed reading all the books. In 'Dead is Not An Option', Daisy the detective is on the trail once again to solve the mysteries of Nightshade, while also getting ready for graduation and college.

This is my first foray into the series and, as with series that I enjoy you don't have to read the other books to get what's going on, but I definitely am going to after this one. I've been wanting to read the series for a long time and own two others already, so when I saw that I could get this one as a review at Netgalley, I jumped at the chance.

Although it had been mentioned that Dead Is Not An Option was the 5th and last installment in the Dead Is series, I have to be honest this is the first book that I’ve read. I took the chance to read this since I was REALLY intrigued and most reviews mentioned that each book can stand alone (though it would be nice to read the series in order to know the history of the characters).

I absolutely love this series and jumped at the chance to read it. I was expecting tonnes of mystery and excitement, in this, the final book in the Dead is series. I was not disappointed that’s for sure.
Dead is not an Option was just as good as the other books in the series and for that I’m glad. I love how the mysteries are always there and I can usually guess what’s going on about halfway into the story. I could do that with Dead is not an Option as well but there were still some surprises.

This is the first of this series that I have read. I received a copy of this from the publisher, and I can not wait to get the four books that proceeded it! I am very curious about many things, such as where the Scourge (I think of them as the monsters who hide in your closet) came from, and the story behind Slim (Mr. Invisibility). I wish there was a bit more description about some of these fun characters (and a bit less with the kissing).

Sometimes it's just nice to sink into a quick, sweet book. The 'Dead' series is perfect for that. 'Dead is Not An Option' is the 5th book in the series about a supernatural girl, Daisy, living in the supernatural tow of Nightshade.

Dead is not an option is the final book on the Dead is series.
I can say is the most action-packed, furry and bloody book. This book has made me have a soft spot for the series.
Endings always make me tear a tear or two. I did with this series, you get to know the characters, as a family. You don't want the author to stop writing their adventures. I know the series continues on a spin-off with Sean's sister Jessica. Not entirely happy or looking forward to reading, but I will. Maybe the author o...more

I really liked this book and I thought that this is a great way to end the series with Daisy. I liked the idea of a "This is NOT a prom" prom which Nightshade had at the end of the book. I think the part I enjoyed the most was the ending of the book when Circe turns Ba back into a person and Lily back to her original state. This is book 5 of the series and while I wouldn’t recommend reading it without having read the other 4 books, it is possible to understand everything that is going on in this one on its own. i like this book alot it is about vampires shitfers and werewolfs. someone keeps killling vampires cause they think a vampitre killed a werewolf but they didnt. some think the shifters aare killing the werewolfs and the vampires to they can get mmoree attention. but it does not wwork.

In a word, this book was abbreviated. It's like having a bored teenager tell you a story as quickly as possible, and the only two things that interest that teenager are food and clothes. The books reads like: skim skip skim extreme detail of everyone's clothing skim skip skim intricate detail of food preparation. Underwhelming. The characters seemed to have changed from past books, and if anything they are more flat than previously. The more intimate interactions have also become more awkward than adorable.
Fast paced action that was, at times, abrupt. All of a sudden this happened. Then all of a sudden that happened. But there was no hullabaloo, and no one really cared.

Is Wolfie up to his old tricks again or something bigger going on? Who would have thought Count Dracul would be the one to make Circe play nice? I never would have fingered the right man for head of the Scourge? And a death in "the family" really caught me off guard. The end however still felt a bit anti-climatic (lowering my rating for 4 to 3 stars).

This is such a fun series, and I gulped this final book up in 2 sittings flat. I am truely going to missing having any more of these stories however Im looking forward to the spinoff series to be released in 2012!

I found this to be an ok book. I liked the Death by Bikini book to be better. This one did a lot more telling than showing in the writing. It is a good reluctant reader pick, but not a "great" book in my opinion.
