Recommends it for: fans of Australian contemporary family-centred romance

This was 150 pages on my e-reader so I'm not sure why the GoodReads page number says 192. Within that short space it was a beautiful madcap ride of a woman with a failed relationship right in her past connecting to a boy she met when she was ten and he was 16.

There is a huge cast of side characters and almost all become three-dimensional: Aunt Ruby, Susie (and Hamish in one scene) from obviously a previous HR of the author's, Wendy and Duncan, but also Abbie and Bessie among the five children -
