Quantum theorist Erwin Schrvdinger invented his now-famous cat to illustrate the apparently impossible conundrums associated with quantum physics. This book is a great compilation of scientific ideas, theories, discoveries and inventions. It refreshed my thinking for many great scientific ideas. Each chapter acted as a catalyst to wake up fresh every morning and a buffer against boredom. An encyclopedia worth knowing!
This is light reading to explain a lot of really complex engineering and physics concepts. If you want to read on the beach, but still want to walk away like you learned a little something.
This book is like a quick encyclopedia of scientific theories. Great if you want to understand them in a lamens terms.
a handy little book to get a ground-level understanding of modern scientific theory. and it's about cats, sorta.
Some of the science is actually a little outdated now, but it's a great introduction to some weird physics.
