2 new characters in this book. Kade, the horse shifter (who i really like by the way because he's simple no-nonsense and fun) and Kellen who i'm sure will play a bigger part in the books to come.
What i liked in this book was that Riley is growing into a stronger character. And there's isnt that much of the 'hormones jumping ahead of the brain' as there was in the first book.

Took a massive downhill fall, though most likely the book caught the desease of

I wasn't keen on this book for a number of reasons, but primarily because of all the sex. I mean, there is a lot of sex. I get that Urban Fantasy typically features sex scenes and that's fine, but I felt Kissing Sin veered too often and too enthusiastically into outright erotica. If you don't mind a lot of sex (at inappropriate times, in inappropriate places, and with implausibly well-hung horses) then this book is probably more to your taste than mine.

With the first book I felt the same when it came to Riley and her sexual needs. I couldn’t not get past the whole wolf and the moon and the mating. I agree with Quinn it is down right slutty, and I had issues with it and I still do.

Give a brief summary of the book:

Full Moon Rising finds Riley lying naked in an alley, unable to remember how she got there or the previous days that have obviously passed by. She figures out all too soon that she needs to escape, and escape fast, as someone is after her and won't be happy that she is free. In this book, Riley Jenson (the main character) wakes up finding herself naked and injured with no memory of what happened to her. She ends up escaping what seems to be some sort of prison, and meets another shifter (he can turn into a horse) and his name is Kade. I'm not quite sure why I continued on in the series when I found the first book mediocre at its very best. Still, I did, and so... well, something. The opposite of a lot of reviews here, I actually though Riley herself was the best part of the series. She has such a positive attitude and I like the way she accepts herself even when others don't. As soon as I finished this novel, I immediately sat in front of my PC eager to write a review. I ended up staring at the da*n computer for half an hour. I just sat and stared. When I got my wits back, I have nothing to say. I'll start off by saying if you are not a fan of your characters having sex with random people, then this is not the series for you. I enjoy the plot of this series with the cross breeding labs, clones, and government agencies. My only problem is that it is a bit confusing. The second book of the series I found to be much better than the first. I think I'm getting a feel for the characters and I'm really starting to feel some fondness for them - oversexed and all.

I find myself constantly comparing them to the Laurell K. Hamilton series (probably because it's paranormal and vampy/were-animal-y and full of sex), but with the exception of the first few in the Anita Blake series, I'm finding these ones superior.

Omg...Riley Jenson is the biggest ho. I like her though. The action/danger element in this one is high - as is the copious amounts of non-descriptive sex Riley has. Quinn is a whiny bitch; I think and Kellan is someone she should go for - definitely. I love Rhoan and Lisander, they're fabulous!

It's hard to like a book when you don't really like the main character: Riley Jenson. All she seems to do (from the 1st book all the way through the 4th book - Dangerous Games) is complain, complain, and COMPLAIN about how she doesn't want to be a Guardian, and how she thinks her lover Quinn is too narrow-minded when he doesn't want her to have sex indiscrimmiantly. Superb Sequel to Full Moon Rising.

Positives:

*Quinn is back in trying to win Riley over. YEA!!!! Who doesn't love a sexy vamp.
*Throw in Kade a hott! horse shifter with ties to gov. and Riley goes crazy.
*End of the line for Misha but you come to love him for who he is.
*Relationships bloom, plenty of action with Riley taking the lead for most of it, and tying up some loose ends.

In kissing sin we get to watch Riley grow into who she is becoming some more and learn more about Quinn, Liander, Rhoan, and Jack.
