I think this was my favourite of the three books (view spoiler)

Just like the two previous books, this wasn't quite so good as I remembered it being, but it was still a decent read.

It was nice to revisit an old favorite.

Title: The Passion
Series: Dark Visions #3
Author: LJ Smith
Overall Rating: 4 stars

Basically, what I've concluded is that, although I've enjoyed reading this trilogy, it's not my favourite LJ Smith work.

I really liked how much we got to see Gabriel in this book, he is by far my favourite character in this book, and I think the third book was definitely worth waiting for. I felt more connected to the characters in this one, I was so i

The Passion is such a fitting name for this last novel in L.J. Smith's Dark Visions Trilogy. In this installment, Kaitlyn is forced to travel to the Institute, take advantage of Gabriel's feelings for her, and destroy Mr. Z's evil plans. Having convinced Gabriel, Joyce, and most of the warped up members of the Institute of her loyalty, Kaitlyn must somehow plan to destroy the crystal and keep the shard of the Fellowship's pure crystal from falling into Mr. Z's power. However, little does Kaitlyn ...more

Review for full series

Dark Visions is my second experience with LJ Smith. I started with The Vampire Diaries series, which was a somewhat of a letdown for me as a big fan of the show. I was iffy on starting another LJS book, but I'm glad I did. Dark Visions turned out to be just pure fun!

This is by no means a perfect series. Compared to nowadays YA books, I have to say that Dark Visions could come off as somewhat unoriginal. I mean, you've heard it before- loner girl with dead parent and magic
Gabriel has been found. Found as the Enemy. Now that Kaitlyn and the others have the shard of the pure crystal, he wants it, but only to give it to Mr. Zetes. He convinced himself that he was evil and not half and half, he was pure evil, he would even hurt Kait if he had to. He did just that but was unsuccessful to retrieve the shard because Tony had shown up (Marisol’s brother). He goes back to the institute to tell Mr. Z that he was wasn't able to retrieve the shard but can’t make himself do i ...more

I'm having a really hard time rating this book, and it's whole series. I wanted to love this series but I just couldn't!

I didn't dislike it as you can see -> 3 full stars!

And I pretty much enjoyed the ride, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten to the end of this series. BUT STILL... Something was missing, I didn't fall for the characters. Mostly the main one. Kate.

Need to get back on this review, I'll have more time to straighten my thoughts and put them down in words.

Full review to come.

I really loved this book. The ending is perfect. Some of it you expect but some of it you don't. At first I though tit would be another vampire novel but it isn't. This is great for any teen to read who really likes fantasy. The book shows some evil, but it just briefly touches it. The book has some tense moments in it. I couldn't put this book down. I found this to be very exciting. LJ Smith has gotten me to read everything she has written. I didn't find a moment of dullness.

The Passion is the last book in the Dark Visions trilogy by L.J Smith. The book starts off with Gabriel now being a part of Mr. Zete's side, wanting power and control. Over the course of the novel, the reader gets to experience newfound feelings characters have for each other.

I thought this book went by fast meaning something new and interesting was happening every time I turned the page. The plot was amazing and the overall ch

so this book turned out to be a good ending to a great series! However, I liked the first book the most, it was like nothing I've read before, really interesting topic, great characters! But both the second and the last book in this trilogy had a few moments where I was just thinking "ooohkay....". I didn't like the idea with the Fellowship ,especially because they seemed so weak to me (but Mr. Zetes is supposed to be so afraid of them?). Plus, I didn't like how the relationship with Kaitlyn and ...more

This could be a tv show! Why is this not a tv show? Why is The Vampire Diaries a tv show and not this???

This book deserves a tv show and I sort of imagined it as a tv show in my head. It's both dramatic and cheesy. It reminded me of the ending of an R.L. Stine book (and his books were turned into a tv show!)

So much eye-rolls for this to be honest. The whole execution in the plot kept building up into something more- something I wouldn't have expected. Kinda like the ending of Shatter Me. Crazy,

Dark Visions is a trilogy made up of The Strange Power, The Possessed, and The Passion. I read all 3 of these books together, so I am only doing one review.
I liked the basic idea and the plot of Dark Visions. In my opinion, this is a great series ruined by very unlikable characters. I hated Kait and Rob with a passion. I never saw anything in their relationship. There was no feeling in it, and it felt forced. I think Gabriel could have been better if we could have had more from his perspective.

This review serves to offer my opinion on the entire trilogy, especially since the three books form one grand story which I had to finish in three days (yes, my sister was appalled). What can I say? I had previously read every single one of L.J. Smith's masterpieces, and I was stoked, so to speak, to find out what this was about. I finished my homework in a rush and curled up in bed with my precious new friends.

The entire series deserves a 4.9-star average rating. The story centers on five kids

The Passion by LJ Smith is the third and final book in the Dark Visions Trilogy.
Here is a spoiler play by play of what happened in this novel:

The novel starts off with Gabriel having changed sides. He is now on a quest to be evil and powerful, and is hunting Kait, Rob, Anna and Lewis (the gang) to get the crystal. In his mind, he is pure evil. He’s against them all and shows no mercy. He is working for Mr. Zete’s and is back at the institute. Lydia also ran away with him to be back under the co

In this book Kaitlyn went after Gabriel back to the institute 'cause Rob said if he had to kill him to destroy Mr. Z and the crystal, so she went to destroy the crystal without killing Gabriel. Gabriel in this book turned oh, so bad kinda guy, but still I knew that he was good underneath and it was true, he was goo

Gabriel finall seemed able to break their locked stare. He looked away, at the carpet. His face was bleak.

More than anything,' Rob persisted. 'You'd crawl on your belly over broken glass for her. Easy.'
Yes, damn you,' Gabriel said. 'Happy now?”
