This book is similar to Fred Gwynne's books. I like it in that it is a bit more comprehensive book of idioms. Of course, not every idiom has an image to accompany it. That is good in that I have my students come up with an idiom to illustrate, and I prefer they use one that has not already been illustrated.

I didn't enjoy this edition to the series as well as others simply because too many of the idioms weren't researched. Although the author does explain the idioms, they only sparingly explain the history behind the sayings. Other versions are better for anyone interested in idioms.

Five because it was funny and I liked learning from it.
