I read this book when i was in school and from that time Harkisan mehta is my favorite gujarati author. i love all his books but this is my absolute favorite (kind of tie between this and manas name gunegar ). the way of writing , the emotions and suspense all of it make this book a masterpiece. I loved the character of aamir ali .

Amazing thriller. Gives a fair idea about the 'Thag' community and its looting style that prevailed in India during British rule.
