This is one of my favourite compilations. It includes a number of tales I often go back and re-read. Including: The Will by Brian Stableford, Usurper by Gerry Kilworth, Life Line by Stephen Gallagher, Charley by AL Barker, the hilarious Tales From Weston Willow by Ian Watson, Lifelines by Chrie Evans, Archway by Nicholas Royle, Interesting Times by Chris Morgan. And the wonderfully atmospheric Don't Get Lost by Tanith Lee, certainly in my top ten short story list. All these tales would get five ...more

AUDIO VERSION The editor is the narrator for all stories.

This anthology of some quite old tales had me hooked from the start. 15 short horror stories for those people who don't like gore.

They seem to have a theme of ordinary people being thrust into extraordinary places or places in their minds.

Some of these authors were favourites (Tanith Lee, Freda Warrington, Brian Aldiss0 but most were new to me, even though I knew of them I hadn't read them.
