I also received book two in return for a honest review from the authors publicist. In book two Nat has taken Richie on as his own apprentice letting him live in the house. Nat is also still dating Sandy, who the house happens to like it seems better then Nat since it lets her in when she stops by. A troll statue is missing from Seattle and other demons are starting to turn up missing. The city is offering a reward for the return of the Troll statue, which I really a troll. With the help of the d ...more

Demoneater & Demonocity are the second and third books in the Demonkeeper series and what a terrific series it is, not just for boys, who Royce Buckingham aims his books at, but for anyone who wants an action filled tale with a lovely touch of humour and, best of all, an interesting conceptual basis.

These demons are born of chaos, but rather than kill them, Demonkeepers, keep the demons safe from the humans and the humans safe from the demons. Without chaos our world is sterile, boring, too

This book started off in the 1700's in Ireland. George is writing about his master's return. His master, the Demon Keeper had disappeared for a month and they thought he was dead. He tells George he survived by eating the bugs that infested his ship and yet he lost all of the demons he had captured. George realizes something has changed in his master. His last entry tells us his master has become a demoneater.
Fast forward to current Seattle and we once again find Nat, Richie and Sandy together.

Loved this one, finished it in one day! Buckingham did an amazing job. I loved how he worked his demons into the modern world, even including real world land marks. The troll under the bridge is an awesome example! Plus there are pictures at the end of some of the places in the book!
I have to admit I haven't read the first book in the series. After having read this one it has definitely made me want to get a copy of Demon Keeper. But even though it is the second book in the series, I think it i

This book was great! I grabbed me from the first page and did not let go. I am looking forward to reading the next one in this series. It had a great beginning and a wonderful ending. It features some misfits, of course demons and a bit of jealousy. However most all is worked out before the ending. If you would like a good read this is one book that I would recommend.
