I cannot remember how many of the previous volumes ended with a cliffhanger, as I nearly always had the next volume on hand. Sadly, I do not have Vol. 32 and since Vol. 31 did end on a cliffhanger, of sorts, I need to buy the next soon. Very soon. Of sorts refers to the cliffhanger even though I am fairly certain as to what will happen next. This volume focused on Musashi and Matahachi exclusively. I felt melancholic while reading, and cannot say why without providing a spoiler. I thought this s...more
The story begins to concentrate on Musashi's "new way of the sword" which is quite fine. Still it lacks that thrilling nature which was presented in some of previous volumes.

Takehiko Inoue (井上雄彦) is a Japanese manga artist, best known for the basketball manga Slam Dunk, which has become a success both in Japan and overseas. Many of his works are about basketball, Inoue himself being a huge fan of the sport, and many Japanese children started to play basketball because they read the manga. This in turn helped make basketball popular in Japan and across East Asia.
