A collection of text messages sent, presumably, late at night by the drunk, high, or otherwise inebriated.

There were some doozies that made me laugh, but after awhile it was too much of the same thing (I think about 98% of these end in puke or other bodily fluids being spilled). There's really only so much you can say on the subject of being smashed out of your mind and waking up in a strange place next to the most physically revolting excuse for a human being ever. Or maybe it's just funnier i...more

It's amazing what some people will send in a text message. I laughed my way through this book and I'd gladly read future installments too!

I borrowed this from the library. yeah it's not exactly highbrow (not that my other reading is necessarily highbrow) and it's all available online, but it was free and Lauren Leto is my new girl crush so why not?

classic feel-good sleaze in compact form. not to be read on buses, trains, or in front of overly sensitive elders, or basically anywhere where people are prone to reading over your shoulder. but it seems like a great educational resource for middle schoolers and a potential source of co...more

We've all done things or said things that we wish we hadn't, but what saved us from humiliation was that no one else knew about them. Unfortunately, with the rise of the "text message" this has now changed and we are our own worst enemies in this regard. Just because something "can be" told to the whole world, doesn't mean that it should. The texts in this book range from those made while the senders judgement was questionable to those made musing on the deeds done after a time spent with suspec...more

This book was funny... does that make me a blight on society.. maybe.. but who the hell cares. You only had a cell phone back when I was in college if you were a drug dealer, but had we all had cell phones, this book would have been a glimse into our world. I sent it to a few college buddies and they all agreed... we might not have been the brightest bulbs in the lamp but we had a great freakin time none the less..lol..

Pretty much the same stuff you find online but in print format. Still funny, mainly because I hadn’t read some of them in a while and because I can’t believe that there are people like this in the world.
I recommend reading it in the bookstore instead of buying it. Most of the entries are still on the website, so it’s a skip unless you’re a major fan and would like a physical manifestation of the texts.

What can I say, I absolutely loved this book. I pretty much carried it with me all day until I was done reading it. Several times I was laughing so hard that I was unable to breathe. The absurdity and stupidity of humankind rocked my world. This is a definite picker-upper for those bad days.

While some of the entries were laugh-out-loud funny, I can't help but think, "Wow, there are some crazy, thoughtless people out there," and now there's a book (and website) that glorifies it. Many of the entries just had me shaking my head in disgust (I mean, who rubs poison oak on someone's sheets so that they can see who hooked up with who?). Sigh...

Rude, crude, lewd, and literally had me laughing out loud (or should I say LOL'ing?) This book isn't going to make you a better person, improve your business acumen, or get you a better job -- but doggone it, it's gonna make you LAUGH!

This is an easy to read book for when you need a good laugh. Some of the jokes are not appropriate for parents, but they might just over their heads and they don't realize how dirty the message is. This book has been passed from co-worker to co-worker and we've all laughed our asses off, discussing ones we found the most funny.
Lisa
Exactly like the website... just a big mashup of forgotten/ridiculous texts people send. Some of the authors chosen favorites were really not funny to me, so it's a good thing the book was short.
Becky
Hilarious, in a "I'm glad that didn't happen to me" and "God, what were they thinking?" way. Gave me a few laughs and a whole slew of reasons to keep my phone away from my drunk hands.

I think it was funny, but it wasn't quite as funny as all the hype about it made me expect it to be. To be honest, it fell below my expectations. However, it was still amusing as hell!

There's a lot of funny stuff in here. However, if you're over the age of, say, 35, reading this will make you feel *ancient.* Also, be prepared for some serious filth.

My roommate shared this book with me and it is amazingly funny. My only problem is that I can't decide if it makes me want to lose all faith in humanity or do tequila shots. Perhaps I can multitask.

This was a safe and fun way to live the drunken college experience I never had. Lots of sex, drugs, alcohol, and language. Recommended for older teen (18+).
Sherry
Very funny, but some of the content is very mature. So, can you think of your texts that you sent 5 years ago?
Valerie
Okay - I'm on something like page 10 and so far not impressed. So far it's just stupid. Was hoping for some belly laughs, but so far it's not happening.

A book of random texts, you can easily read this in an hour.

A lot of it is pretty hilarious.
Tasha
Is it wrong that I enjoyed reading about other people's misery and poor decisions?
Cruz
So funny...I could have my own book of "text from last night".

Do you like the Texts From Last Night website? Then you'll like the book. It's EXACTLY THE SAME.

"hey this is Lauren. i have to type for Jon because he's convinced the tongs hes holding are his real hands."

This book is genius. I admittedly have never heard of the original website before reading this book. It kept me laughing on each page. It is a collection of the best drunken, party animal, stoners texts to friends or accident slips to the wrong people. I highly recommend this book for anyone who knows how to be silly and who's open to obscenity cause this one's got it all, man.
Lauren
I love this book. I originally heard of TFLN through twitter, and then I bought this as a gift for a friend because it was exactly her sort of thing (and a few of these texts even reminded me of her!). She loved it, and we both got plenty of laughs from it. It's definitely worth a flick through, and is sure to entertain.
