my mentor teacher in the class that I am interning at was reading this book aloud to the students a little bit each day and I got the opportunity to read it aloud to them a few days. AS I read it to them and as I watched as she did, the students were always so engaged. They were always excited to listen to it and sad when the chapter was over. Mysterious are great for read aloud in the classroom because they make the students want to keep reading to find out what happens. They love to predict wh

Maybe 3.5 stars. This one had a little more heart than the first, and I didn't quite have the puzzle figured out as early on. <blush> For a kid who likes puzzles, these would be a five-star read. I might grab whichever else my library has, too, as they're short and fun and have some nice features like a recognition of different kinds of families and a girl who is a friend, those kinds of things that make them more like cinnamon cookies and less like arrowroot biscuits.

Two ratings for early chapter books, I think. Around a three for me; and these, I think, are a definite four for what they are and who their audience is. I really did some smiling through these and I was pretty impressed with several things (read the first three and will copy this to the others). They seemed to me like they would be really challenging and I liked the addition of the map of the neighborhood in the front.

I really liked this book because it was very exiting. It was very scary when Detective Reddy grabbed Ruth Rose because Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose found out that he robed the bank. I also liked when Dink and Ruth Rose were trying to figure out who robed the bank, while Josh was eating cookies. I think that kids my age like 8 or 9 should read this book. I think that a lot of kids would love this book.

Such a fun mystery book to read. I was intrigued by the authors purpose to write so many books that are aligned with the alphabets. I love the idea. I think these books are really good for children to read and have fun discussions about. The Bald Bandit is simply a tale about Dink and his friends looking for a videotape that is related to a robbery. A very easy read and awesome illustrations.

eventhough this book is not for your level, but i think you should read all the A to Z mysteries, because it is so interesting. also, while you are reading, you always predict what gona happen, but mostly your predictions are wrong, cause that happens to me all the time.....

In the Bald Bandit a robber robbed the Green Lawn Savings Bank. A detective came to Dink and his firends, Josh and Ruth Rose. He told them to try to find a redhead so the could find the vidoetape and catch the robber. If they can, the detective would give them each $100 to find the redheaded boy. Do you think they will be able to find out who is the robber and catch him?

This book was not the best book Ron Roy has written but its not his worst. Its about 3 kids, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose. One day someone robs a bank and they are on the case. Read and find out what happens.......

The Bald Bandit is about a guy who robbed the bank. A detective came to Dink and his friends, Josh and Ruth Rose, for their help finding the red-headed boy who video-taped the bank robbery. It was not easy for them especially because the boy didn't want people to find him. It's a challenge for Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose to find him before the bandit does.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery books and tricky books. This book is a mystery book because Dink and More...

Fairly predictable, but a good book to read aloud with children. Our girls really enjoy the A to Z mysteries and we are eager to read the next one. We aren't reading them all in order, but so far it's not a big deal.

My first grader is devouring this whole series. I have only listened to a couple of them on CD with him, but they seem like pretty good beginner mysteries.

I'm giving this book four stars because my sons really liked it. It had more drama than many in this series because it was an actual bank robber that the elementary-aged sleuths were chasing, rather than poachers or petty thieves, as is often the case with this author. Again, there was really only one possible suspect, which is a weakness of many of the books in this series, but since the suspect was disguised as someone honorable, it seemed like there were no suspects to my sons (I had it figur

I learned that even third graders can be brave. When Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose open the door to find a detective, who wants a video tape of a robber, they try to find the kid who videotaped the robber. When they get the videotape, they fear the worst.
