Jack and Cass Mandeville are a dream couple, ridiculously happy together and successful to boot - Jack as a journalist and Cass with her own hugely popular radio show. Indeed, almost every member of the Mandeville family is famous in their own right: from stunning Cleo, a supermodel with attitude, to Sean, the rising star of the comedy circuit. Incredibly good-looking and ...more

Horrible. Possibly the worst book I attempted to read, and I read the first Twilight.

I bought this book because I thought it was about a threesome, and I still think it would have been much more interesting had it been about Cass and Jack's attraction for the jornalist, in a real love triangle.

Characters were unlikable. Jack, who was portraid has Cass's prince charming, was disgusting: the story how the two of them met and he insulted her best friend and Cass didn't even seem to mind was absolut

So many reviewers here on Goodreads express dislike for this book, even when they've liked Mansell's other, later books. But this one features many of the themes/character types that reappear in almost all of her books: cheating men; unpleasantly selfish women whom you still feel a bit for; the importance of families, and love between the generations. And a very deft authorial hand at interweaving shifting points of view within each strand of her tripled storyline. Perhaps not as laugh-out-loud ...more

Jill Mansell's books (that I have so far had the misfortune to read) have been far insult to an intelligent (or even semi-intelligent) audience. All seem to follow the same premise of ultra chick lit trash. Be prepared to lose brain cells when reading her trite, clichéd rubbish.

The heroine is generally naïve and either unsuccessful in her career or from a disadvantaged background. A confirmed sap, sh'es invariably misunderstood by our dashing rich “hero” - and is usually betrayed by a former boy

I love British chick lit and while it hasn't been easy for me to find Jill Mansell books, I'm always excited to add a new author to my list of favorites and was thrilled when I was finally able to get ahold of one. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with this book. I found it to be tiresome and actually did something I NEVER do...I scanned just to get through it. I had a hard time working up sympathy for any of the characters and was just disgusted with them through most of the book. My in ...more

Two's Company include Jack and Cass Mandeville who have a perfect family, each member with a successful career, good looks and everything that a common man would dream of, but when you look closely at them, they are as twisted as trees in Amazon jungle!

Two's Company by Jill Mansell is a story about Mandeville family. Celebrity couple Jack and Cass Mandeville have everything that a person would dream of, successful careers, good looks, great kids and a grand marriage. The trio of incredible child

I hated this book with a passion. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who has to finish a book once I've started it no matter how appalling it is. It was unfunny with an awful storyline, a terrible ending and annoying characters. I've been given a load of Jill Mansell books and this is the first one I've read. The rest will be heading to the charity shop to be sold on to some other poor unsuspecting fool.

Throughout the book this Imogen Trent was giving me nerve racking. I only wanted to slap her. Then I felt sorry Sean. Poor guy he didn't deserve the end he had.
Could have become more developed the story but was a slight history, fun and even serious. I kinda liked. Curious to read more books it.

As good as always Jill Mansell produces another sparkler with Two's Company. Not the best novel I've read by her but still pretty good.

The Mandevelles have the perfect life. Cass and Jack happily married since getting together in their early teens and their three perfect children Cleo a successful model, Sean a successful comedian and Sophie a budding humanitarian.

Everything is perfect till on the day of Jack's 40th birthday Cass agrees to give an interview with Hi! Magazine and ends up with m

2.5 stars!

For the first half, this book made me REALLY mad. As a few other people have said, Jack's cheating on his wife Cass was what really infuriated me. And Imogen was SUCH a bitch! Which made me sad because she has the same name as me! :(
I bought this as an audiobook, and only really persevered because I was annoyed that I'd spent money on it, and was determined to get my moneys worth!

I recently read Jill's latest book "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and LOVED it! Since then I've managed to pi

I love a good soap opera, but there was something same-old, same-old about this novel. While it's competently written, with a fast pace and likeable characters, it was all too Lifetime-movie-of-the-week for my taste. I was hoping for something more engaging, but I suspect many other readers may enjoy it...and I can perfectly understand such enjoyment. I just wish I could share in it.

I've enjoyed many of Jill Mansell's books. She's fantastic at creating several storylines involving different characters, all of which end up intertwining flawlessly. However, 'Two's Company' was a major letdown.

None of the characters were likeable, unlike a couple of other Mansell books in which I'd usually like a particular character. Here, the characters are either flat or downright despicable, with Jack Mandeville falling into the latter category perfectly. Likeable characters aren't a must

Good summer time read with multiple storylines revolving around members of the same family. I don't really enjoy reading about infidelity or reckless relationships, and the writing was a little fluffy for me, but some of the quirky characters redeemed it a bit. Nothing too hard to concentrate on, and it was good for sitting by the pool and losing myself for a bit.

I normally love Jill Mansell's books. For me this one had a few issues. The ease of infidelity by the male "lead characters" drove me crazy. Really? 40 yr old men are willing to just ruin a long term relationship because a pretty young thing wants them? The female leads were strong yet at the same time happy to be walked over. The book just came to an abrupt end. Storylines were not completely wrapt up.

This was a good book, but could be a trigger if you have been a victim of infidelity. I am far enough removed from my ex-husband's cheating that I found this book very true to life. If you have every been through infidelity, you will really identify with the characters. I really enjoyed this book!

While this wasn't my favorite Mansell novel, it was still a great read. All of the ingredients were there, chance meetings, missed opportunities, misunderstandings, and a happily ever after for everyone who deserved it.

The cast of characters is, as always, delightful. Mansell manages to bring to life a dizzying array of unique personalities and makes you want to either meet them for lunch or push them down a flight of stairs.

This book was a bit slower paced than her newer novels, and the flow b

Jill Mansell lives with her partner and children in Bristol, and writes full time. Actually that’s not true; she watches TV, eats fruit gums, admires the rugby players training in the sports field behind her house, and spends hours on the internet marvelling at how many other writers have blogs. Only when she’s completely run out of displacement activities does she write.
