A delightful gem--this short read packs a punch!
I do enjoy the secretly-in-love-with-your-boss theme, and poor Jillan's definitely got it bad for Mike Furie. Oh, damn! This is a hot read, Jillian & Mike are very entertaining.
Holy cow! This was a GREAT novella! It basically covers the span of two days, which is realistic for a novella, I think. It's paced well, steamy as all hell (and let's just say, it's the FIRST book that took a mainstream type of steamy book, and ramped it up to make my eyeballs bulge out of my head while reading! GACK!). The true definition of quick and dirty! I'd love to read more about Jillian and Mike, but something tells me I'll just have to find more of Fran Lee's books to devour...
Oh I loved this book! -Although is more like a novella, it's so short-
I liked quite a lot Jill, I loved Mike, loved their encounters. Everytime very steamy and hot and so charged with sexual tension and need and desire... Well, let's just say, my hormones responded! And the story was new and good as well.
It sure wasn't boring. At all.
Highly recommended if you're looking for something spicy and erotically romance!

Premise seemed good, under-appreciated PA and big-time boss, both attracted to each other and hiding it from each other over the years. It was poorly executed, the full first half was Jillian reflecting on her years with Mike and the nice things he had done and that she was going to quit. Finally the book gets to the two of them interacting, and after one kiss she completely throws herself at him, gets drunk and marries him, and has sex but doesn't remember it that well. This was a great short story. I'll be honest, if the sex scenes are hot, that automatically gets three stars from me... ;), add a great story given the novel's length, then another star.

I was looking for a quick, hot read for Valentine's Day. This was quick. It was hot. It was also sort of ridiculous. For almost the whole story the heroine is insisting that she "hates" her boss, and her boss is insisting that he married her so he wouldn't lose his assistant (and of course to have easy access to round-the-clock hot sex) and then on the last page, they're all "We love each other!"
O-kay.
It is a cute, hot read, but the premise is ridic-a-less! I know....why...more

This is a great short story. Jillian works for Mike. Mike treats her like crap (sorta) and she has no life working for him so she decides to quit. Mike doesn't want to lose his assistant so (while she's quite drunk) he marries her. The next day there are fireworks (both the angry and sexual kind). I really loved reading about Mike and Jillian and was rooting for them. It has a great ending where things come together for a HEA. I'd recommend this as a very enjoyable read. :D

because I found Mike's sudden love...very...sudden and unrealistic. the reader isn't given any insights on when or how Mike even came to the revelation that he was in love with Jill.

This story was a mess. I didn't like it at all. Maybe if it was longer and set up the characters and story better, I would have but seriously, wasted money.
