I get the sense a lot of people don't read Janet Dailey on principle or something (because of the plagiarism scandal), but she was one of the first romance authors I ever read (my grandmother had her books), and I still think she's got a special talent for it. A lot of her books are older and don't have much sex in them, but the stories are rarely boring and the romance is pretty compelling. This is one of Janet Dailey's Americana books. This one takes place in WV and takes place mainly at The Greenbrier. I read this years ago when I was in high school. Probably one of the reasons I love The Greenbrier so much!
