Recommends it for: Any aspiring poker player.
Shelves: poker
This was one of the first books I read on poker, and what's great about this book is that there are hand examples for you to choose the best play followed by the actual play made and the outcome. It is geared towards limit play, but the concepts and strategies can be easily adapted to no limit play by the astute player.

However, if you wanna play limit hold'em, then this is the book for you. The starting hand and odd charts alone are worth the price of the book.
