I read this book in 4th grade to satisfy a reading assignment. Luckily, it was the type of assignment where we could pick our own book, but we didn't end up writing book reports. Instead, we drew our own book cover for the book and put them up around the classroom. It was fun to reread this last night (on an airplane). I would suggest this book to a 4th grader who loves baseball or to anyone who wants a quick and factual introduction to the great Jackie Robinson.
