Patterns in this are ho-hum but it is v. good reference to have around (there is one hat that I have made three of, though, and an incredible-looking entrelac quilt that is a little too advanced pour moi).
This is an excellent reference for beginning knitting as well as a nice reference for the various types of stitches. There's also some great patterns. I borrowed this from the library, but I really want to get a copy of it for myself now.
