I read a lot of this and skimmed a lot of it. This is a great book for learning the basic concepts of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the DOM. Going forward, I think it will be really helpful as reference material, since it supplies a lot of coding examples for interacting with just about every aspect of an HTML page through JavaScript.

At the same time, a lot of the content of this book can be skipped over by simply using jQuery.

This was not a cover-to-cover read, but I did read most of it as reference. It is well organized and the subject matter is a lot of fun.
