The mercurial Judy Moody will delight any kid who's known a bad mood or a bad day—and managed to laugh anyway.
Judy Moody was in a mood. Not a good mood. A bad mood.
A mad-faced mood.

Judy Moody doesn’t have high hopes for third grade. But she does have an abundance of individuality and attitude, and when Mr. Todd assigns the class a special Me Project, she really gets a ch

I think Judy Moody is funny and I would be friends with her in real life. We have some things that are the same; like, we're both in Grade 3, we both have little brothers, and we both have a pet cat. There are some really funny parts in this book. In a spelling test, Judy has to find five words out of GINO'S EXTRA CHEESE PIZZA, she finds the words tree, Texas, and taxi, but instead she
Judy Moody. Lagi mood. Bukan mood bagus. Mood jelek. Liburan udah selesai. Waktunya masuk sekolah. Tapi dia belom pergi kemana-mana selama liburan musim panas. Untunglah, dia udah makan ikan hiu. Jadi, mood jeleknya sedikit terobati.

Judy Moody. Lagi mood. Bukan mood bagus. Mood jelek. Sampulnya bagus. Keren. Ada bolongannya. Delapan buah. Kenapa delapan? Karena huruf ‘o’-nya ada delapan. Kalo yang dibolongin huruf ‘d’, maka bolongannya hanya ada lima. Ngga penting deh, bahas bolongan. Pokoknya k
Chapter book - series
For 2nd-4th grade

Judy Moody starts 3rd grade and struggles to find a good mood while she deals with her little brother, school projects, and friendships in this funny chapter book.

Divided into fairly episodic short chapters, this entertaining read tells the story of how Judy Moody started third grade. Younger readers will feel for Judy's bad moods and frustrations over the class's "Me" project and the attempts at friendship from paste-eating boys. Judy is no girly girl, and

Judy is not happy about starting third grade, where she just knows she will have to sit next to Frank again. Frank, who eats paste and who gave her five valentines in kindergarten, cupcakes on numerous holidays in first grade, and who indeed is in the seat next to her when she arrives in her third grade classroom, and immediately passes her an invitation to his birthday party. Sheesh!

Plus, unlike all the kids, she doesn't have a shirt that says something, like Orlando, or Paris, or... anything!
I like this book because it is very fun
I recommend this book because you can enjoy this book
Judy Moody was in a mood, not in a good mood, a bad mood is about
Judy Moody like to collect the pizza tables, On the 1st day of school Mr Todd told Rocky that he will get the pizza downstairs. When Rocky comes back with the pizza, Judy told Mr Todd that can she get the pizza table Mr Todd told Judy You can get the pizza table if you are in good mood tomorrow.
Judy Moody starts off third grade in a very bad mood, but the experience grows on her when her class is assigned a project to create a “me” collage.

The black and white images made with watercolors, pencil, and ink appear throughout the story to supplement various scenes (such as Judy’s attendance at Frank’s birthday party and a delightfully jumbled, two-page spread of Judy’s completed “me” collage). Though the images aren’t essential to the understanding of the story, they are a nice touch that
I first read all of the books about Stink before beginning my introduction to the Judy Moody series and was defiantly not disappointed. Judy Moody was just that moody. Sometimes her mood was bad, good and she even had a "back to school mood," but most of all she had them all. Written in short chapters the book details some of the events and her feelings with the beginning of third grade. What with having to sit next to the boy who eats paste and not her best friend Rocky, and even having to comp ...more

This is the second Judy Moody book we've read and we've really enjoyed both of them. Although the moodiness can get a little old, our girls can really empathize with her experiences, her joys, her anxieties, her frustrations, her collections... And the story is humorous and fast paced. We will definitely look for more Judy Moody stories.

I rate this book three stars because while it's cute and funny it is not something for my age group. Judy Moody is very thrilled about school and starting third grade. She didn't feel like getting up in the morning, getting ready, or doing homework. She didn't like that her new classroom would not have an animal sticker with her name on it or a class pet. She finds out that it is not that bad though. Her family gets a "pet" Venus fly trap and she thinks it is the coolest thing ever. She ends up ...more
A good book for someone about in 2nd grade or 3rd grade.
WAYYY to immature for a higher grade level. But still, its a cute book anyway.

I finished this in a very short time, but in that span of time, I got a whole lot out of it. This is Judy Moody's first book. We're introduced to this girl, who isn't like your average girl. She's different. As the cover states, "Judy Moody was in a mood. Not a good mood. A bad mood." Judy is certainly different. She has grouchy pencils (which I want!), hundreds of cool band-aids and a set goal in mind for her future. It's nice reading about a 3rd grader set on becoming a doctor and already prep ...more

Meet Judy. Judy is in a mood all the time. Not a good mood though, she doesn't like anything, or if she does, she makes sure no one knows about it. Judy Moody is constantly grumpy, never with a smile on her face and forever annoyed with her little brother, or little 'bother' as she likes to call him, Stink.
It is a new year at school, which means a new class and a new teacher. Judy is not happy. But when class teacher Mr Toad, sorry I mean Mr Todd, sets their first project; to do a 'Me' collage,

Review citatio
My favorite scene was when Judy Moody was searching for special rocks with her friend Rocky and her little brother Stink. Her brother Stink was the typical younger sibling who always found ways to innocently sabotage her. He found a small rock that he thought was a black diamond. Judy inspected it and claimed it might have been a moon rock. But the only way to tell for sure was to smash it - SMASH! Judy clobbered Stink’s rock, which quickly turned into dust. This may sound mean, but don’t worry. ...more
My 2nd reading english book project.

Welldone. It's illustrated book that told me sometimes mood is in charge and let it be.

Judy Moody--yes it's her name--had a project called Me college. And she had to tell all about her including her hobbies, clubs she join, her worst and funniest things ever.

I know that she was a lovely character, although she used to pranked her brother, Stink. She finished her Me college. Her teacher, Mr. Todd said that she had imagination. Even, her dad proud of her--indeed
I had a whole review written and Goodreads froze. How irritating. To sum it up, my 6 year old daughter Kylie and I enjoyed reading Judy Moody together and she's already excited to begin reading the next book in the series.

I feel like it deserves mentioning that I VERY strongly recommend this series instead of the inappropriate-for-any-age-series that is Junie B Jones.

Life is such a disappointment when an uneventful summer comes to an end with nothing to show for it. Judy Moody is an outgoing, spunky third grader who will have readers laughing as they witness the relatable perils that befall her on a daily basis, from having to sit next to Frank Eats-Paste Pearl in school to getting peed on by a toad, sparking on the need for Judy and her best friend Rocky to create the exclusive Toad Pee Club. This beginning of the eight-part Judy Moody series introduces rea ...more

Judy Moody Was In A Mood would be appropriate for readers between seven and ten years old. Children that enjoy contemporary realistic fiction, humorous characters and stories about tension between siblings may enjoy this

I loved the all Judy Moody books when I was kid! They were always so adventurous and interesting. Megan really knows hot to write books for kids withour making them too complicated or too easy. The illustrations are really good to. When I was a kid, I would always try to draw and recreate the pictures. I really love Judy's cat, Mouse?,. It's just that he's? always there randomly.Stink was amazing character too. Smart and funny. I find it hilarious that a parent would name there kid Stink. I love ...more

I really like this book because it is funny because every time she passes a note she gets in trouble and when other people pass notes Mr.todd doesn't see them or get in trouble.
This was a cute story that's girls enjoyed. We will probably read more about Judy.
this story was okay ... I wasn't that into her being "moody" b/c usually is just meant crabby or having a bad day.
I did like that she made friends with someone in her class that she originally thought was a creeper.
I liked her brother Stink (so so, so far) and I thought it was sort of a bummer how jealous she was that he got to go to the Capital in Washington, DC but instead of resolving that in a positive way she played a practical joke on him to "get back at him".
It was just an okay book. Stil
Judy Moody is not happy about a lot of things going into third grade like sitting next to Frank who eats paste but whom she starts to like later in the story. She was assigned a project from her teacher called the "me" collage to work on and she really looks forward to working on it. Throughout the next month she is given to work on it, she stumbles across some situations that help her along the way to make her "me" collage. Everyone ends up loving her "me" collage and it makes Judy Moody happy ...more

There are many different Judy Moody books. I have noticed that students in grades 3-5 seem to really like Judy Moody books. They can identify with the main character, Judy Moody, because many of her stories take place at school. The books are also humorous so students can have fun reading them. Judy is a very curious, confused, emotional girl and is somewhat representative of students at elementary school age. This book could be used as a read aloud and also one to have in your classroom library. ...more

Judy Moody is a series of transitional books by Megan McDonald. Judy Moody is a young girl in the fourth grade, who tends to have extremely moody days. Most days, are bad days when things do not go her way. In the first installment of Judy Moody, Judy starts the fourth grade. Her first day of school is automatically a bad day because she doesn’t want to have to brush her hair or memorizing information at school. Throughout the story, Judy has disagreements were her little brother, Stink, and ma ...more

Judy Moody is quite a character. She is relatable for all kids who are starting the wonderful journey called puberty. Judy Moody lives up to her nickname. She is moody and adventurous and a wanna-be doctor. She is not looking forward to third grade and this is what sets the story up. Judy Moody does not like change and she does not want things to be different from second grade, but different they will be. The story delves into how Judy Moody comes to like third grade and how that affects her per ...more

"Sometimes I think I am Judy Moody," says Megan McDonald, author of the Judy Moody series, the Stink series, and THE SISTERS CLUB. "I'm certainly moody, like she is. Judy has a strong voice and always speaks up for herself. I like that."

For Megan McDonald, being able to speak up for herself wasn't always easy. She grew up as the youngest of five sisters in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her father, an
