The book may be off the deep end, but I love it anyway. I wouldn't call it very scientific though. Like this part, when she is talking about a wave:
"at the crest... in physics terms is when the wave has become a particle. ... when the wave turns at the trough ... in studying physics this is where the particle becomes the wave."
Really? That makes no sense to me, and I read a good bit of quantum physics books. I could be wrong, but from my understanding, the wavicle (because it is both, acting as...more

Started well, bored me to the core and went downhill
I thought the book had a good premise and at first I even liked it, felt something different was going on, but from the 3rd chapter on I really started to get annoyed by the far-fetched stuff, already seen so many times...like some ridiculous stuff presented in The Secret... I also thought the author got redundant and this got on my nerves... I didn't like the "exercises" - thought of them as nonsensical stuff. As I am not religious, I also don...more

This was a good follow-along book to other books I've been reading recently by Raphael Cushnir, Deepak Chopra, Gay Hendricks, and Frank Kinslow. Overall, it was well worth the time spent reading it. There were lots of interesting insights and expansions to concepts (like the law of attraction) I've read about previously. Of course, if you want to get much out of this book, you do have to go along with her main premise that the world is currently in a state of transition, moving from the Informat...more
I'm reading this book I bought recently, for the second time through. Its easy to read though a complex subject. Each chapter has things you can stop and do to bring further understanding of the material. The author seems loving, intelligent and thoughtful. The message is one of positive improvement of one's awareness of life. Excerpt:
"So not only do you live in a world that oscillates in and out of form, where there are unlimited potential realities evolving simultaneously, where everything is...more

Absolutely magnificent! This book really clarified for me the power of human thought, emotion and inner images on reality from a scientific approach. The world is made of energy, which is why our technology works the way that it does. This book is about our 'human technology'. Penny Pierce ties together the purpose of our lives, how to create transformation and feel more at peace with who we are as our world changes.

Since my job requires me to do so much in this genre, I don't tend to read many of these kinds of books. However, the time seemed to be ripe. As a vibrational healer and medicine woman, this book took so many ideas and broke it into the mainstream. The writing is clear, the exercises work, and my purpose has become clear. Science backs up her claims, and the book takes a refreshing step beyond all the "law of attraction" hype.
this is a great book. i love the way she talks about energy, vibration, frequency, prana, chi, flow, god, love.... whatever words you choose to describe it the energy of life and how to work with, rather than against, your own flow. it's especially helpful if you are in the mood for some personal homework which i was when i read it but i think it could be read simply for the description & understanding it evokes.
1 of 2 stars for readability -- easy read but not concise... Feels like a waste of flowery words trying to get to the point.
1 star for its spirituality
Recommendation -- if you're fascinated by the topic, get a free sample chapter on kindle and see if it's worth your time.
I don't have any alternative book recs on this topic right now. Anyone?

i'm sittin on the fence, with this one... still feel like i could give it a thumbs-up ("yes") or wobble my hand a bit ("eh?").... not a thumbs-down though, i can understand and nod my head at most of what i am reading, just not too sure yet if i feel it was worth my time to *read* the book... we'll see.
I hope this will not be a long, dry, confusing, read. The "Acknowledgments" is one page, okay there. The "Forward" is 3 pages, that's not too bad either. But then, there is a section entitled "FOR THE READER." I know there is an oxymoron joke in there somewhere.
"FOR THE READER" is 9 pages not including another section titled "FINDING FREQUENCY" that is 6 pages, ALL before you even GET to chapter 1 page 1.

It took some time in getting the 'feel of this book. After completed reading I was glad to purchase it. This book is an extension of Abraham's teaching although it may not be as loving in words otherwise. However the exercises under 'Try This' provides useful tool in manifesting ones desires. I really like this book and the author does have some original comcepts of her own unlike I got reading 'The Secret' . Will go back and reading it again soon.

So far this book has been spot-on in describing the transformation process I've experienced in the past year and a half. I'm hoping part two is a good read!

Well, it's an interesting way of thinking about life. And a pleasant enough read. But I stand by my opinion that was a little out there.
