Absolutely beautiful!!! What a wonderful way to wrap up what happened to Antanasia (Jessica) and Lucius. I absoulutely loved the detail that was put into this short story of their wedding. The vampire wedding traditions were very original and made me fall in love with the couple even more then when I read Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side. I will even dare to say that this wedding was better than Bella and Edward's in Twilight (I wasn't sure if anything could top that). Of course now th...more

This is my first book in the Jessica series. Well, it's sweet, fun and succinctly short, thus a very easy read. Well, the book is somewhat... uneventful. But that's not too unexpected because the book is supposed to be about a wedding. Just about a wedding. And what do you know, the weeding is really cute.

Well that was totally pointless.
I don't really have much to say about this. It was a short story - but, you know, a long short story - about, as the title suggests, Antanasia and Lucius' wedding. Like I said, not much to say about it.
Just one thing, actually.
Lucius is a perfectly fine name. I have no problems with the name itself. But when Antanasia keeps saying shit like "Oh, Lucius..." it starts to seem really fucking stupid.
OH HEY, I thought of something else.

MY REVIEW. NOOOOOO. DON'T NOT RESPOND, PLEASE. Ugh. From now on I will be sporadically saving my reviews so this doesn't happen again. OR. I could write it on Word, and if bad things happen to Internet Explorer (shut up, trolls) then my work will be untouched. If the cord is pulled out of my laptop, the review will be automatically saved. Dude, Word 2003 really knows what it's doing, AND it already has options for italics without HTML needing to be typed. Nerd-time concluded.
Ok, starting over.

"The Wedding of Antanasia Jessica Packwood and Lucius Valeriu Vladescu" is a cute little novella about the joining of the couple including the vampire version of a wedding. I enjoyed the photos of the castle, mountains, wedding dress and rings the author included.

I pretty much ever girl wants to think about her wedding and how its going to be with the perfect man. Only one problem, this story shouldn't have been created at all. There is already a second book on the way, everyone knows they got married. Do we have to read it to see what's going on through the whole thing. I'm not saying that I don't like it, it's just that I don't think it was necessary.

Dammit, Beth Fantaskey. Why can I never figure out what I think of your work?
This story was cute but unnecessary. Soooo muuuuuch about hoooooow in looooooove they aaaaare and not enough of the characters I as a reader grew to love in Jessica's Guide. Jessica, who I really liked as a character in the novel, is defined by her relationship with Lucius in this short story. The Wedding of Antanasia Jessica Packwood and Lucius Valeriu Vladescu was a perfect lead up to the next book in this series.
I absolutely loved every part of this story. I loved the rituals for the vampire wedding. I loved that Jess kept it together while facing, not just marriage at such a young age, but also a new and scary family. And of, course I loved Lucius. Seriously, I’ve found my new book boyfriend. He is just *sigh* perfect.

So, what happened in this short-story? Well, first Jessi-...Antanasia said she wasn't ready to get married. We’re off to a good start, aren’t we? I always thought that marriage meant ACCEPTANCE. Something was really off when she agreed to wed in the end of Jessica’s guide to dating in the dark side. Yeah, that kinda pissed me off.
Other thing that got on my nerves: she wouldn’t shut about the “next day will be the best day of my live!” There was so much dialogue and narrative that was useless....more

This short novella can be read for free on Beth Fantasky's website. You can read many of the behind the scenes clips and check out the voting that helped shaped the final story. The wedding dress pictures are a must see. The picture of the dress that Jessica wears is to die for! This novella picks up shortly after the end of Jessica's Guide to Dating the Dark Side. Jessica is busy planning for her big day. She and Lucias are head over heels in love. Finally, I grew to understand and like Lucias...more

After reading & reviewing 'Jessica's Guide For Dating On The Darkside' I came across a link for this, the sequel which can be read online. I thought the previous book ended perfectly and didn't really think it needed more, but was glad to see it continued on in the story of Jessica/Anastasia & Lucius's wedding. This book was a surpsing compliment to the other. It is just as well-written and introduces a new character or two. Now, I had said I didn't really see a need for this one after t...more

So, so beautiful! It was wonderful, spectacular, marvelous, a total pleasure to read, and so much more. The Wedding of Antanasia and Lucius is only a short story (took me an hour to read) but wow, was it good! I actually haven't read the first or second book in this series (this is 1.5 in the series, I believe) and this book did not detract anything from this fact. It has actually made me want to read the other books now more than ever. Beth Fantaskey is a fantastic writer and I look forward to...more
Personally, this novella is way too sweetly romantic for me -- it felt like being in a dream produced by a 15 year old with a wedding obsession. The title gives it all away – the entire novella revolves around the wedding of t.he hero and heroine from the previous book. There is no further character development, even though opportunities are introduced. A new brother of the groom, jealousy from the best friend, discovering her real Mom's journal could have occupied far more space and been develo...more
This is available online through the authors website. It is a VERY short book? {I don't think you can even call it that}, more like an online excerpt detailing Antanasia/Jessica and Lucius's wedding. The only reason it didn't get five stars like the book is that it was WAY too short! I loved their actual engagement story, so sweet, but you expect nothing less. However, I really wish it was more detailed. The wedding seemed beautiful, but they really could have included more. The entire thing was...more

The first book's ending was pretty much cliffhanging. I mean, I didn't read the entire book just to read Lukey biting Jess in the end. I wanted to see what their wedding would be like. And their wedding, I did see.
This short story is about Lukey and Jess' wedding (coughtitlecough). It also resulted into getting to meet new, different characters. Jess and Mindy's friendship was rekindled.

What a wonderful little read. 22 small chapters with gorgeous dialogue.
I just loved this little addition to 'Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side' . Not to be missed, it's a wonderful little bridge of information before bk #2, 'Jessica's Guide To Ruling On The Dark Side'. Quite breath taking the wedding scenes.

This was exactly what I expected to read. No cliff hangers, no extra plots, characters, or hints to the next story. Just the beautiful wedding Lucius and Jessica were destined to have, that EVERYONE who loved the book secretly wanted to be a part of.
The only complaint I have is the lack of a honeymoon, and the lack of the readers getting to experience some of the reception. We could have gotten another brief glimpse into the characters we fell in love with. But, alas, maybe the honeymoon will be...more

I guess it was a nice story for what it was but it didn't have enough of a plot to really be a stand alone. *spoiler alert* They get married. Big whoop. Who ever woulda thunk it? This little mini story didn't really have anything that would qualify it as a story. I guess its just a 'happily ever after' aside for people who liked the characters of the first book. I honestly wish something would have happened or something funny would have appeared. Alas, no such luck. But it wasn't too bad, just n...more
I just love Lucius's castle !! And the weeding dress of Antanasia !! Book's great . well written . sure story is short and it's not a novel (like we know it's a bridge b/w 1 and 2 book in the series ) just to describe Lucius and Antanasia's weeding which btw is really awesome . A vampire mirage and it's tradition as described in this book is really different.Sure Marking your hands so that your blood can mix with your spouse's blood is pretty tacky but Hello they are vampires (so a little tacky...more
A sweet and at the same time eyeroll-inducing story of the day before and the actual day of the wedding between Antanasia/Jessica and Lucious. Lots of sentimentality and detailed descriptions of feelings (most of which Antanasia could read in Lucious' eyes - enter eyeroll) and even more detailed descriptions of the actual ceremony.

The book that this piece is written for made me wonder about their bond. Anastasia and Lucsius seem more into a sexual bond than in love. This story made their love seem more real to me. Beth Fantaskey has made the feelings that Anastasia harbors more real to me. The way she saw Lucsius was suddenly right in front of me. I saw what she saw, so I saw his love, his darkest self. How Lucsius revealed his dark side to her, he also revealed to me. The story had good discription but not too much descr...more
A very nice glimpse into Jessica and Lucius' romance, before we plunge into Jessica's new vampire life.
I still can't help but compare this to TWILIGHT: how great to finally see a heroin fully in control of her worth and looks, aware of her partner's love and awed, yet not surprised, that he should be attracted to her as much as she's attracted to him. And how refreshing to see a girl in love, prepared to spend eternity with her man, being actually happy at his marriage proposal.

I read this on the author's website. About 22 short chapters and an epilogue. Didn't break any new ground. Just as the title implies, it goes through the motions of the wedding. Decent read continuing their story, but really could have been condensed and added as an epilogue to Jessica's Guide to Dating. I did like the landscape pictures and the wedding dress photo that the author included. The dress is gorgeous. Read because you liked the first book but don't expect too much.

I always enjoy a happy ending in my books. I pout if I don't get one, and I'm often tempted to rewrite a book to get one. Lucky for me, Beth Fantaskey did write the ending I was looking for -- a fairy tale wedding.
This little wedding interlude was great and helped to leave the end to Jessica and Lucius in the first book feeling less abrupt.
Looking forward to finding out how things progress for both Lucius and the now vampire princess, Antanasia, in their married life.

“I’d been unable to stop questioning if I knew what I was doing, even just kissing, and I’d sort of sheepishly apologized for my inexperience. Lucius had drawn back, a strange look in his eyes and a half smile on his lips as he’d said, 'I don’t think I could allow another man who’d touched you to continue walking this earth. The only reason Zinn survives is the debt that I owe him.' He’d smiled a little more broadly, joking, 'Your inexperience saves lives, Antanasia.”
