I'm sorry to say this quickie didn't work for me. The absence of a flesh-and-blood hero killed the story. I knew that beforehand so I was braced for it, but I couldn't find myself caring for the "heroine" - probably because I didn't feel that the H/h had a solid relationship and the HEA was uncertain. Anyway, it was a freebie (from All Romance Ebooks), so I can't complain.

Recommends it for: Anyone who likes a free erotic quickie read
The synopsis just about says it all. A woman reminisces about her lover who is serving overseas in the military, and the passionate times they've had. Then she has a little fantasy about meeting up with him where he's deployed...

This is told in first person pov, is only 6 pages long, but it's free (love those freebies!) Not bad, and it gives you a peek at the author's writing style. And I just had to add that's one fine cover... 3 1/2 stars

This was good. It reads from the viewpoint of a woman longing for her soldier lover, who is overseas in some far off country fighting for those who can't/won't fight for themselves. She is remembering their last night together. That memory then morphs into a fantasy in which she comes to him in the desert at his lonely midnight post.

Short but poignant. Anyone who has ever loved a man in uniform would relate to this story easily.

Hmm Not sure about this one, i had in my mind the guards to the royal palace in england.... so much so i had to laugh and wonder if anyone has tried to seduce them, rather than just try to make them blink....But i go off topic.
this is the wishes and fantasies of a woman who's boyfriend has been called in to guard.
