This book is written in a dry, dissertation-like style and is dated, especially when discussing technologies associated with writing. However, a practicing writer can find some useful information for building a writing practice, if s/he can find the patience to sift through these chapters. For cognitive psychologists and other researchers, this book provides references to early studies and ideas that would be valuable in cultivating deeper knowledge of this important field of study.
