Excessivement bien documenté comme toutes les œuvres de Jennings. Très agréable à lire. Attention l'auteur aime l'érotisme teinté de sadisme.
Beau roman à lire pour bien connaître la période et les voyages de Marco Polo.
Très divertissant.

Voilà un roman poignant, érudit et plein d'action. On peut bien reprocher à Jennings quelques longueurs (quoique les 1700 pages vous happent dès le début) ou quelques répétitions de procédé (surtout si l'on a lu toute son oeuvre), il s'agit là d'un grand roman historique, touffu et fascinant.

L'histoire romancée de Marco Polo, tome 1. Récit historique intéressant, sans être haletant. On y apprend quelques trucs, mais difficile d'être captivé de bout en bout. Je lui préférais Azteca, mais je vais quand même lire le Tome 2.
