Junie B. Jones is always getting into mischief one way or another. In the book "Junie B., First Grader Cheater Pants," Junie B. can't help but to "borrow" one of her classmates homework for the day. This causes Junie B. to face the consequences, but also makes her question what cheating is exactly. In the end, Junie B. learns a tough life lesson and earns her teacher's trust all over again.

Well Junie B., is at it again! Barbara Park really knows how to make this girl the funniest, believable grade oner in the world. Her use of a grade one’s language is priceless to adults and engaging to the children who read her books. Every class has a Junie B. or May or Herbert and a Mr. Scary (the teacher), the fact that any child could see themselves as one of the characters in the story makes it believable, and the lesson to be learned is more poignant. The cover illustration of Junie B., cr...more

This is what happens when you give a 17 year old a children's book when she's bored.
This book is a bad influence. The characters in here are really disturbing.
Let's take a look at exhibit A: May. May is a brat, she brags about everything. May needs to learn to shut up, she even annoys the teacher! Poor Mr Scary. She also doesn't have respect for Lennie. Speaking of Lennie, that brings me to:
Exhibit B: Lennie. A first grader with spiky hair. Oh brother, what is going on in his house? I bet someo...more

Barbara Park has never failed at keeping my smile in check as I read her delightful stories. They're works that should be considered masterpieces, and if a first and second graders' opinions were to count as good as the president's, I'm sure they would be. As a lonely second grader venturing into a new school, I sought solace in reading, the only place where it was quiet and magical at the same time was the library, the only section that didn't seem daunting with all the older grades hovering ar...more
The Junie B Jones Series is a well known chapter book series for intermediate readers. It is a chapter book, so it’s a bit more challenging but it is not an intense novel. I would say that they are meant to be read by an advanced 1st grader and 2nd grader. Barbara Parks does a wonderful job with the stories. They are all written with good detail and enough of a plot to leave the reader wanting to keep reading. One reason I think these books are really good for kids is because they often teach a...more
This book is about Junie B. Jones cheating off this girl's homework because she forgot to do her homework for the weekend. She was going to blam it on her father but then she saw the girl's paper and coppy off of it. So she will not get a note and have her mom or dad sign it. She will get in troble if she gets a note and will not be able to do something.
The part I did not like is when they were in class and this girl said that Junie B. always don't do her homework. She also said that she always...more

I chose to read this book because I have noticed many of the students in my first grade class reading these stories. I wanted to see what they were about to understand why they were so popular. This is a simple chapter book about a girl named Junie who is in first grade. One day at school she has forgetten to do her homework and decides to copy from her neighbor. She learns a quick lesson about honesty when her teacher and her parents find out what she has done. This is a story that could happen...more
I've been reading a lot of Junie B. Jones books to my kids and we've enjoyed them quite a bit. This one may be my favorite, though. Sometimes Junie B. seems pretty over the top, but the situations in which she finds herself cheating -- not once, but twice -- in this book are common and realistic. There is a nice resolution that includes strong consequences for her actions and learning from her mistakes. Most of the Junie B. books are almost pure amusement and frivolity at her quirky character. T...more
Junie b jones, cheater pants, by Barbara park.Junie b knew all the answers on a paper accept 1,but she got caught by her teacher ms. One night when she when she didn't finish her homework her dad didn't let her stay up late and do it, so she got in trouble the next day by her teacher. In the end she learned not to cheat because she now knows it's wrong.I predict that if this book went on that she would never cheat again because of what happened.I compare this book to judy moody ,because they did...more
I loved all of Junie B. Jones books. However, my favorite Junie B. Jones book has to be Junie B., First Grader; Cheater Pants. I simply say that this was my favorite Junie B. Jones book because it was very simple, funny, and lovable.
The main reason why I liked this book was because it was an easy read. This book took me about 1 day just to finish reading. It kept me so interested that I could read it very quickly. I remember reading the part when she copied off of this girl name May’s homework...more

This book actually for children, but sometimes i read children book too for refreshing since you don't need to think so hard until you have wrinkle in your forehead to read children book like this.
I like it very much, its unexpected. First i pick this book because i like the picture but when i read it, its very enjoyable.
Light story, make you smile (because i bet adult who read it, sometimes its will reminded them of their childhood, if not work, it work for me^^), its a fun book.

I use to adore the Junie B. Jones series when I was young, and when I read Junie B., First Grader: Cheater Pants, the other day I was reminded why. She is such an in your face obnoxious little girl but yet still doesn't like doing anything bad. I really enjoyed this particular one because it deals with cheating on homework and tests, and I feel like all kids can relate to the situation Ms. Junie B. found herself in. Such an easy to read book, perfect for 2nd grade and up. I loved this book.
Junie B. Jones books are never dull! This is one in the collection that I adore. Junie B. knows that cheating is not a good idea, but does it anyway, and must face the consequences that comes with it. This is a great book to introduce to young students and emphasize the importance of doing your own work. The greatest part of the book is when her teacher trusts her again after being honest. That is perhaps the greatest lesson for children to learn.
I loved how Junie just copied off of May when she went to the attendence office to hand something in. Then the teah=cher found out they had the same exact words as eachother. When the teacher realized that thye were both trying to blame eachother for copying even though it was Junie. Junie does end up getting in trouble by the teacher, and if I can remember I think she goes to the princibals office for lying and there was a phone call home.
Haha I read this series when I was in the first or second grade. :) This was my utmost favorite book out of the series, probably because she was going to first grade. I don't know why I love it.
Well, maybe I do. I love reading diary entries (muhaha) and all the first grade books had these little journal entries from Junie B. Jones. The only reason she wrote in them (she despised it) was because her teacher told her to.

Junie B. Jones starts to cheat off of her classmate because she didnt complete hers over the weekend. Junie B. Jones doesnt want to get a note sent home to her parents so she cheats. I would let my students read this book because it shows that cheating isnt a good thing to do and shows them that they shouldnt cheat in school.
We've been reading through all of the Junie B. Jones books in the order they were published (one we did out of order because we had to wait for it from the library), and this is the first one I can remember that portrays Junie B. actually managing to take in a moral lesson and grow as a person. Good work, Junie B.!
Junie B. JOnes is at it again! A great book for those who can relate to cheating but not seeing it for what it is. Once Junie gets caught, she understands that it is not the right thing to do. Funny book with funny phrases and the students will love it!
Good read for 1st grade to 3rd grade

Junie doesn't do her homework and then copies May's work because it is there and easy to copy. She is caught and kept in from recess. The teacher Mr. Scary tells her that copying someone else's work is cheating. She has to take a note home to her parents. Then she cheats off her friend during a spelling test. They both confess and get zero's on their test and their parents are contacted.

Love this clever, comical book! Junie B. definitely gives everyone a run for their money. I like that she addresses cheating and all the different types in this book. Could be used well in the classroom.
I love reading Junie B. books to my class. Her expression and the way the book is written makes it fun to read and engaging for students to listen to. This book is a good way to talk to kids about cheating.

Another great book in the Junie B. Jones series that all children can laugh about. I think students can really relate to her and the way she thinks and this would be great to have in the classroom.
