Definitely a book geared more for a female audience, but the plot was compelling and the author's excellent storytelling kept me into it. I will admit that it took me longer to read because of this, though. I could see it unfolding on Lifetime while I was reading! I will admit that I liked the story it told, though.

Have heard some say it is a little difficult to believe the story's events could work out as they did in some parts, and while there were some convenient occurrences to help the plot

I would recommend this book!! Especially for women. I found it heart warming at times and tragic at other times. Made me laugh and cry.

Good story about a very real issue. Characters beautifully written.
