Shelves: read-2015
after reading a few of these various Stratemeyer syndicate books, they are a bit formulaic-- plucky heroine who doesn't have parents (Betty has her Uncle Dick), a few close friends (one of whom is in dire circumstances for some reason), and whatever adventure they're going on.

That being said, these books are also pretty well-written, and well thought out for what they are; they're always around or over 200 pages, and the characters are likeable.
