It took me awhile to get into this book, but then before I knew it, it worked its charm on me. Mrs. Iptweet embodies the magic that we should all be so lucky to have in our lives as children. And Mayfield does a great job of slowly characterizing the sadness of the parents in the background of this story. Bursting with sequins, glitter, colorful foods and flowers, and building to a fantastic Mythical Creatures Parade on Summer's Day, Mrs. Iptweet is a modern Mary Poppins that is sure to work her ...more
