First off let me say I received a copy free for review. That does not and will not effect my review.

As this is a novella I don't hold to the same standards I would expect from a full book and I did enjoy the story.

The heroine Deri is a witch from a family of Magik holders. She has been sanctioned for using Magik that harmed a human. The problem is she is innocent but can't get anyone, even her own family to believe her over Chad the slime ball responsible for the damage. Looking for a place to h...more

Sacred Places is a really fun novella full of magic and romance. Deri Sullivan, a natural-born witch, is exiled from her home and family when she is convicted of a crime she didn't commit. Deri decides to start over in Grove Bluff, a seaside town she remembers fondly from her childhood. Many of the locals recommend Deri seek employment at the popular Dagger's Edge Pub. Deri's new boss, Coyle O'Caha, is the most beautiful man she has ever seen. The pair are drawn to each other but neither acts on...more

This was an expanded and revised edition, so even if you've read the original story, this one is different and worth the read!

This is a revised/expanded version release. If you have read the original, this version is worth the buy and re-read. It’s like a brand new story!

Sacred Places is a novella featuring the story of Coyle and Deri. Coyle is an immortal Druid and Deri is a witch, who happens to be in hiding....more

This was really good. I was surprised having already formed an opinion from reading the book description, which I will not rehash. The Hero Coyle did and did not act as expected and when I got to that OH moment of what had been going on for three years and not what we thought, I was pleased. The h Deri is great because even when she has the literal man of her dreams ready to take her, she lets him have it for not treating her like a lady. Essentially this is what I call a really good quick read....more

Deri Sullivan had wanted Coyle O'Caha every since she started working at his pub three years ago, and knowing he was filthy rich and quite the ladies man, but she still wanted him--bad! Just his Scottish lilt made her cream and every night she dreamed of mounting him, but the morning after left her so sexually frustrated. Coyle was a mortal and she was a witch, not the best combination, so why was she went with Chad with their on and off relationship as he was mortal too? Deri's father had high...more

This is a great novella to travel with. I hate reading long lengthy novels while traveling. There is not enough time to sit and really invest yourself into a book. Sacred Places is short, moves at a great pace, and from the beginning Coyle and Deri know each other and have been drawn to one another. I like my novellas to have couples that are familiar with each other. The familiarity takes away the feeling that the romance is rushed and it also removes the insta-love.

Deri and Coyle for unknown...more

Good read

This was a good short fun read to introduce you to the world of the Hollander druids. This story was good now I need to read Korey story to see if he finds his mate.

There's a bit of a warning at the beginning of the novella (only 4 chapters, so more that than a book) stating the graphically sexual nature of this & boy it's not kidding. If we didn't have 3 kids running around all the time my husband would have LOVED that I was reading this book LOL.

There were really only two characters in Sacred Places, and I would have liked to see a bit more character development & back story, but for only being 4 chapters long this thing really caught my attentio...more

This is a great story to read when you need a fix...I know, it sounds like I'm a junkie; but sometimes-you need something fun to read. I really enjoyed this little love book, the chemistry between the two main characters is intoxicating. Plus, when you throw in the steamy love senses, the magic and the all out bad guy that gets kicked to the curb it's a most.

Sacred Places was a good book to read but I thought it was a little short and not enough action. But It was something new and interesting. I am looking forward to reading more from this series.

An immortal sorcerer with a Scottish accent and lots of tattoos, a nubile witch, a tiny pub in a seaside village, and lots of graphic sex. Short, sweet, and hot.

Mandy M. Roth grew up fascinated by creatures that go bump in the night. From the very beginning, she showed signs of creativity. At age five, she had her first piece of artwork published. Writing came into play early in her life as well. Over the years, the two mediums merged and led her to work in marketing. Combining her creativity with her passion for horror has left her banging on the keyboar...more
