Smutacular! with sweet characters but not much else. Also it's a little expensive for how short it is. But it was ok for a smutty read. :) Happy reading!!

This is a sexy little quickie. Coyle is 700 year old immortal sorcerer. When he first meets Deri he is instantly drawn to her. But he believes that she is only a human and because of that she cannot be his true soulmate and Druids can only mate with other magical beings. Deri is on the run from a stalker ex. Forced into giving up her magik or face imprisonment for the rest of her life she ends up in the town of Grove Bluff looking for a place to hide.

The sparks fly when these two meet and I hav

I read this book a long time ago when it was called by another title/series and really enjoyed it then. I also reviewed it then but I cannot find that review.
Finding this was an updated version and free I grabbed it to see what was different.
It is still a fun read with a good story and characters that are interesting. Loved the Scottish side to it and found Deri to be better than I remember.
My only complaint is why 3 YEARS, not 6 months or 1 year but 3 years. Way too long to not suss out the oth

Deri is on the run after her last romance but her in a bind of sorts. The council wants her gone from her home, she seeks out a small town with a pub that seems quaint. It's there that she meets Coyle, her new boss. What neither knows is that they are both magical. When push comes to shovel, Coyle claims Deri as his mate and won't let her go. And Deri is more than fine with that. She's wanted him for years.

A quick read, that will keep you hooked from the first page. You worry for Deri and her ex

I got this for free, but I did the Audible upgrade so I could listen at work. It was a short read, but it was good. I have read many of Ms. Roth's books under that name and other pen names, this was a little different. I liked it and plan to read more. I really loved the story and loved the magical "fight" scene with the ex-boyfriend. Forty year old warlock against 700 year old Druid warrior. "I'm bored" was a great line for that. Yet another great book by Ms. Roth.

Hot

Sexy immortal with a smokin hot body, who could ask for more? It took long enough to realize they were mates but boy once that happened it was sizzling! A short story but very enjoyable.

Sweet and sexy

A short sexy, sweet read. No real drama definitely a good read if your looking for a quick naughty read. The epilogue was super cheesy sweet the best kind in my opinion.

A great start to a new series...I love it.

Book 1 in the Druid series, I loved this book when I originally bought it in May 2014 and devoured it in one sitting, but this copy was sent to me by the author for an ARC review and I loved it just as much as I did before. I'm a person who re-reads books on a fairly regular basis and had been racking my brains and searching my Kindle for a couple of months trying to remember the title of the story that kep

Death by way of Coyle overload!

Oh how I wish I could have a Coyle too!!! *sigh* too bad he is fictional! But I guess that is why he is so damn perfect! LOL What a HOT story! SUPER AWESOME!!! And yes, I will say it – I wish it had been longer!! It was so great!!! It has fantastic story, it’s magical, it’s funny, it’s both equal parts hot and sexy…and okay! I will be honest! Having it a shorter story did make it hotter and probably part of the reason I enjoyed it so much! But on the other hand, I

Deri Sullivan had wanted Coyle O'Caha every since she started working at his pub three years ago, and knowing he was filthy rich and quite the ladies man, but she still wanted him--bad! Just his Scottish lilt made her cream and every night she dreamed of mounting him, but the morning after left her so sexually frustrated. Coyle was a mortal and she was a witch, not the best combination, so why was she went with Chad with their on and off relationship as he was mortal too? Deri's father had high ...more

Deri has a number of issues on her plate, not the least of which is being kicked out of the Magick community. Grove Bluff is a place remembered from her childhood and the place she has decided to escape to. It is also the home of Coyle O'Caha, an ancient Druid, panty-melting pub owner...oh, and member of the Magick High Counsel- the same folks who kicked her out of her community!

Sacred Places sets up the backstory and introduces a number of the characters of the Druid Series. Coyle and a fair n

First off let me say I received a copy free for review. That does not and will not effect my review.

As this is a novella I don't hold to the same standards I would expect from a full book and I did enjoy the story.

The heroine Deri is a witch from a family of Magik holders. She has been sanctioned for using Magik that harmed a human. The problem is she is innocent but can't get anyone, even her own family to believe her over Chad the slime ball responsible for the damage. Looking for a place to h

Deri decides to start over in Grove Bluff, a seaside town she remembers fondly from her childhood. Many of the locals recommend Deri seek employment at the popular Dagger's Edge Pub. Paranormal Bureau of Investigations enforces the sanctions and she ends up in Grove Bluff, a town she's passed through years ago and had felt at home in.

Coyle is the owner of the pub Deri goes to looking for work. He is a 700 year old, tattooed, Scottish Druid, who protects the local humans from things that go bump in

This is a great novella to travel with. I hate reading long lengthy novels while traveling. There is not enough time to sit and really invest yourself into a book. Sacred Places is short, moves at a great pace, and from the beginning Coyle and Deri know each other and have been drawn to one another. I like my novellas to have couples that are familiar with each other. The familiarity takes away the feeling that the romance is rushed and it also removes the insta-love.

Deri and Coyle for unknown

Deri is a witch wronged by an evil ex. Coyle is an ancient Druid. When Deri is exiled for misuse of magic(framed by her ex), she has to rely on her accounting training to make a living. Worried that her lack of references will make that impossible, she is drawn to Coyle's pub in Maine. She and Coyle are very drawn to each other but Druids are forbidden to mate with humans and he has no idea that Deri isn't exactly human. Unfortunately, Deri's ex isn't finished with her yet.

This is a great book; it is the first book in the Druid Series by Mandy Roth. Deri is a natural born witch who was forced away from her home and told never to perform magic again. Love a Scotsman. And Mandy gave us a couple of sexy ones in this expanded book. After 700 years Druid Sorcerer Coyle O'Caha has given up on finding his soul mate. Until in walks Deri Sullivan. She needs a job, she has relocated and is hiding her magik as a witch. She has it well hidden even from super sorcerers. But the wild attraction they have for each other is not so easy to hide.

Although for personal reasons both want to protect the other and fight their mutual downright lust for years, unti

The story was good...though it could be better.
It was a short sotry that tried to fit 2 lifetimes and i think that Mandy was not succesfull at that.
Also at times i felt like i was reading a scrumbled book.
I was reading of her being there 2 months and all of a sudden she is there 3 years.
Then while having sex she tells him she is a witch and a few lines below he asks her if she is a witch.
The book had flaws but it was a good start to a series

Lies are told, judgement is given. After being convicted and banned for misuse of her magic, Deri startes over in a little town that has always called to her. She needs a job, told the local pub is hiring she heads over. Coyle is the owner and a Druid, he and his family are charged with caring and keeping the local witches safe. When they meet it is nothing short of magical. The attraction is instant and confusing, Coyle can't mate with a "human" and Deri can't place a "human

A story about witches and wizards normally makes me think of flowing robes and wands, but not Mandy's story. These wizards are sexy pieces of man meat that you just can't get enough of. Coyle and Korey are two cousins who take thirty duty seriously as protectors of magic their area. Coyle's cute pub seems very inviting and just what Deri needs to start over. When Deri meets Coyle it is physical attraction on steroids and no one is willing to act on it. The fact that these two magic folk are able ...more
