I have done the BluePrint Cleanse and it really is the only juice cleanse that I've been able to maintain for up to 6 days without getting hungry. I would do it so much more if it wasn't so expensive. I do believe juicing is good and healthy, but not a complete or sustainable diet. It's one of those yo-yo fads I couldn't hang on to for very long. But when I did it, I did manage to lose weight and feel great about myself. This book is a great addition to anyone who is starting out and needs basic ...more

In this day and age, everyone wants to look healthy, but also feel healthy. The 3-day cleanse can help you move in the right direction in your journey to clean, healthy living. Get hose toxins out of your body!!

The cleanse is said to give you more energy, clearer skin, a more focused mind and make you feel amazing. Amazing eh? By drinking juice.

The 3-Day Cleanse explains why you should cleanse. We eat a lot of junk; junk we can’t even pronounce. Have you read those ingredient labels lately? Wha
Picked up this book in preparation for my March cleanse. I have never done a juice fast,
but thought it would be a good jumping off point for my spring cleanse. I already have
all the equipment to do my own cleanse, so I bought this book. I did notice that some of
the ingredients of the juices are not the same as the actual juices from Blue Print. I know
enough about the real juices to take a guess about what was left out. My impression is
that the juices in the book are close, but the juices from de
I was so impressed with this book that I went out the day I received it and bought a juicer! I won this book from a goodreads giveaway. I really wasn't sure what to think about it when I received it, but honestly I loved it - mind you, I haven't actually made any of the 'juices' yet. With many diet books I've read, there seems to be a trend to convincing you that 2 months, 3 weeks, 14 days, whatever isn't too much to dedicate to your diet. Yes, I agree. But when all your allowed to eat/drink on ...more
The women behind the Blueprint Cleanse crafted this book, and having tried the Blueprint Cleanse once, I wanted to read the book. I wasn't disappointed with what they had to say.

The 3-Day Cleanse is full of useful, helpful, and easy to understand information that will make the reasons behind cleansing and its purposes clear for anyone.

They make it clear that this cleanse is not meant to be some kind of crazy fast that "normal" people can't adhere to. The information given proves that flushing th
From the front cover: Drink Fresh Juices, Eat Real Food, and Get Back into Your Skinny Jeans.

The book is divided into 2 sections. The first section describes why we need cleanses – the quality of the food we eat, the toxins that surround us, how our digestive system works, and the benefits of fasting and cleansing. It goes on to describe the 3 types of cleanses the authors recommend and how to prepare for them. It details the recommended food intake in the days leading up to the cleanse and the

I won this book through Goodreads First Reads. At first I was so excited. Yes! I won a book. Then I realized it was a diet book...oh. Anyway, I figured I would review it as a book primarily and then as a diet later.

The first couple of chapters were just basic scientific information on digestion, eating habits, and cleansing. It was written in a friendly and accessible style. The only time the authors get preachy is when discussing fasting. Other than that, they just say to do as much as you feel
I picked this book up a while back along with some other detox/cleanse books. A quick and decent resource for different cleanses with information about digestion and nutrition and guidelines for 1, 3, 5 & 10-day plans as well as suggestions for preparing for and maintenance after cleansing. The last part of the book is made up of 100 recipes for cleanse-friendly dishes--soups, salads, main dishes, juice blends, snacks, sauces and dressings, etc. I didn't follow a strict program but used this ...more

I enjoy reading books about health and nutrition; I really enjoyed the first half of the book - learning about the digestive process of different foods and so forth. I found it interesting to learn about their recommended detox plan.

However, I wanted to take the "quiz" to see what type of cleanse would suit me, but the numbers don't seem to add up correctly - there's something they've left out of the equation. I ended up with a number in the hundreds instead of double-digits. I double checked t
I did it! I got this book mainly to get some use out of a juicer my mother gave me, but ended up really enjoying the "fast". I did the beginner's "Renovation" cleanse. Day one was horrible, but it got (much!) better after that. The vegan agenda is much less heavy handed than the Skinny Bitch approach, but I didn't come away from this feeling as "refreshed" and "invigorated" as I hoped. Maybe I need to try one of the more difficult levels. Includes some great recipes that even passed the kid-test ...more
I have not been diligent about keeping up my goodreads status, but I'm am going to try to do better. As for this book, I finished it some time ago. I liked some of the juices and enjoyed getting into juicing. However,I found a discrepancy with the recipes almost immediately. One recipe at breakfast might yield 2 cups of juice, then you wait for the next juice, expecting to be filled again, only to find that the recipe only yielded 1/2 cup of juice. It was so inconsistent, that I could not stick w ...more
I was excited when I got this book in the mail (giveaway winner). At first I thought this book wasn't going to be for me. I am a thin, athletic built. Once I really got into the book I changed my mind. You can cleanse and not to it to loose weight. I eat organic and this book had some good tips in it. I haven't tried the juices yet (waiting until summer when I am off work) but I can not wait to see how great I will feel after the cleanse. I really like how they have you fill out a survey to see ...more
When Anna Balasi of Hachette was offering this book for review, I couldn't resist. I eat a better diet than the average North American. I am a vegan and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables but I have been feeling kind of sluggish lately.

This book sub-titled, "Drink fresh juice, eat real food, and get back into your skinny jeans." It includes the basic information that you need to know about your body, how the cleanse works, and how to do it. It takes you step by step...

As the family chef and the father of five, I found this a good way to feed my family health alternatives. Good read.

I really loved this book. It was informative without being too formal. It was very laid back but still got the point across. The authors did a great job of going step by step in the process of cleansing. My favorite features of the book are the delicious recipes as well as the client stories. Also, the book provides different levels of cleansing so there is something for everyone. I recommend this book if you are interested in cleansing for the first time or are a "seasoned cleansing veteran" it ...more
This book is so fun and interesting! Of course I'll have to wait to try it because pregnancy and nursing won't correlate with this but maybe for Christmas I can get a juicer. Learned a lot about raw eating as well, which is something I have been curious about since being introduced to it by my cousin. Would recommend it to anyone looking to learn about cleanses and food!
This is a great resource for learning about the cleansing process and how to make recipes. It was written by two women who have a fresh juice business and, while that's great, their products are not accessible enough to readers who might want to buy their juices that they are recommending, if you don't live close to New York City. Overall, great book.
As soon as I got this book in the mail my hubby grabbed it and ran. When I finally got a hold of it I needed it, we had just eaten at Golden Corral aka Hog Troth. We felt like Gluttons. We've done cleanses before and I did do a modified version of this. When my calms down I plan on diving into it full force. Great Book!!!
It makes sense to do this every once and a while, but the problem I have with juicing is that you're wasting a ton of fruits and veggies. Maybe you're getting a lot of nutrients that you wouldn't otherwise get, but what do you do with all the leftover pulp? Plus it's pretty time consuming.

I enjoyed this book! It was informative, well written and gave me insight into cleansing in general. Also, there are several recipes that I am looking forward to eating.

If anyone is thinking about doing a juice cleanse, this book is a great tool.
Not looking for a crash diet or anything - I'm just incorporating more juice and raw food into my diet and this book has a nice approach, so far.

Good information for anybody who wants to learn more about the benefits of juicing.
Best nutrition book I have read. Truly made me think about food and gave me simple ways to make long healthy choices. Now. Seriously. The best -17dollars I have spent in a long time.
A guide to doing a blue print juice fast at home. Loong intro on topics like the full workings of digestion. The personal anecdotes and testimonials throughout were good.
This book offers a lot of good information on digestion and how a person's body uses different foods. It was totally worth the quick read.

I didn't really read the whole thing. I just read enough to do the cleanse. Which I will be doing after Easter sometime.
Just picked this up at the library. Figured I would try some of the juices before going full on into a cleanse. We'll see!
Really enjoyed this easy to read and clearly laid out guide to doing a 3-day juice cleanse yourself. Great book!
really yummy recipes in this book! even thinking about them makes me want to make them again soon.
