Though this is billed as a book of all-organic cocktail recipes, it's just as easily used as a guide to modern culinary cocktails.

The author uses fruits, vegetables, spices and sweeteners readily available at all grocery stores. The recipes are easy to follow and the results are the sort of fresh, contemporary, unorthodox cocktail found in Milk & Honey or The Violet Hour or La Belle Vie. The author advocates organic liquors and mixers. He provides his preferred brands in the intro chapter. The recipes are interesting and many are for true aficionados because of the work involved. Have any angelica root laying about?
