I encountered something "difficult" in my outer world and Spirit told me to go grab this book. I recall reading several of the essays when I was younger, but I'd never completed the entire book. This time, I needed it to help me remain strong. I went straight over to Barnes & Noble and got this bargain book and read it. The truths that it shares has given me much relief and helped me reestablish mental peace. Check it out. Thanks!

This book was difficult to read because it's dated. This is a collection of authors even though it shows by Napoleon Hill. The pieces by Hill and Florence Scovel Shinn (although, they just used a collection of her quotes) were okay, but I was unimpressed with the other authors.

Two very large sections of this book had to have been written by a televangelist because I have never seen the word "God" in so many places in my life. There was little content in the book that was useful.

Timeless adages that are still applicable today as they were first published in the last century. Wonderful and inspirational. James Allen was soothing my core with his words.
