I thought the title of this was especially cute and clever...The Taming Of Lola, a shrew story. :) This is a book about a little shrew that is very badly behaved. She screams and tantrums when she doesn't get her way (anyone know a kid like that...I do know one a little like that!:)) Anyway, she soon meets her match when a cousin comes to visit. This is a great read aloud and full of details in the illustrations.

Good for early elementary kids, given the length of the text, this is a cute story about Lola, the tantrum-throwing, conniption-fitting shrew who meets her match in her equally-ill-behaved cousin Lester and realizes that bad behavior is just too exhausting.

Lola is a shrew. She is not a nice shrew. She has a tantrum whenever she doesn't get her way-- and usually her family bends over backwards to accommodate her. Until cousin Lester comes to stay. He's as bad as Lola-- may the worst shrew win! Ages 3-6.

What a funny book and so appropriate for my children, esp. my 4 year old-she and Lola are so much alike! I recommend this one to moms everywhere who have ever dealt with tantrums ;).
