Wow, what an amazing book. I really enjoyed the writer's ability to make this amazing tale to read like fiction. I was aware of the story of MLK's murder and of the people involved, but there were a ton of truly shocking details that kept me on the edge of my seat. This book really moved me and really is a must read.

I loved it. I learned, wondered and thought, felt sad, confused and happy, and all the while found myself thinking that Hampton Sides is just what I needed after reading every Jon Krakauer book I can find. Once again, as a journalist with an interest in history, this is perfect for me - it's much more well written than many history books but it is true to the events. I loved this book!

Very interesting read, particularly if you have ties to the Memphis area. Some parts got a little tiresome with details that didn't seem relevant (or interesting), but overall it was great!
