I adore Kaitlyn O'Connor's books, especially the Cyborg novels. Total Recall was no exception.
It's rare for me to read a book out of order and enjoy it, but Total Recall was the perfect opening to the Cyborg world. It was wonderful to see Reuel before he met his match. It was even better to read how the Cyborgs ended up on their new world. O'Connor does a wonderful job of making you believe in her world, in her characters. The last in the series, but a prequel to Abiogenesis. My favorite in the series. This was the only heroine that wasn't completely annoying and actually treated the cyborgs like humans from start to finish. The men fought a lot more than they did in previous stories, but I figured it was largely in part of the contract arrangements not being in place just yet. Wish it was a little longer, focusing more on Thor, Lucien & Sebastian than it did, but it was still better than most of the others. D

This should actually be book #1, it takes place about 6 months after the war on Xeno-12 and is when they find their own world. I think this is the last book in the series. And with the mix of humor and pain (sometimes both emotional and physical), it has become one of my favorite series.
Spoiler
What I don't get is in the other books they talk about they're not having humans on their world, but after reading this book that's clearly not true.

I liked this book a lot and if you are reading this series, I would read this one first (it should have been the first book).
I agree with another reviewer who said 6 Cyborgs were too many and, IMHO, these guys really did argue and fight too much. That being said, there were some very funny parts of the book and very poignant parts, so I gave it 4 stars.
I am also upset that it wasn't available at Amazon except through a third-party sell part of it.

This entry in the series felt rushed and fell mostly flat. The plot, the character motivations, even the sex were bleh. The best part of the story is Reuel, the leader of the cyborgs (who btw is neither a main character or a love interest). Ah well, better luck next time.

I've always enjoy a Kaitlyn O'Connor book and this one is no exception. I will say that a O'Connor book is not for the faint of heart. There is group sex and more than one partner. She tells a good story and this book is no different.

This was not one of my favorites of this series. It was just okay. The story wandered all over the place and lacked focus. I didn't feel any real emotion between any of the parties.

What can I say? I love my Cyborgs. Even though this is # 6 it takes us back to the beginning of the series.
What I liked. The interaction between the men was funny to me, though some might not like the constant arguing. They had things to work out and I would rather it be with words than fists, although there was plenty of that, as well.
What I didn't. I wanted it to be longer, it should have resolved a few more things before you read The End.
